Means he's modifying the timing mount bracket.
Ask him to get AE100 timing mount and make a bracket for engine.
You need to use 2C axles and inner Cv joints.
Outer cv joints are same.
Did you bought 6 speed shifter?

Your transmission is 6 speed.
You need 6 speed shifter of fielder, celica or corolla.
Will cost about 25k for simple variant 4 wheel disc complete setup. And like 35-40k for GT complete setup.
Complete setup includes brake booster, master cylinder and proportional valve.
Swapping brakes are useless without installing same proportional valve.

Mechanic showed up to my house with the car on Tuesday, however the instrument cluster/AC was not working. Also when I was testing the car it pooped out. I lost power, car became very jerky, and giving accelerator had no result. Mechanic told me that it was a fuel pump issue.

Anyway, he sent me this today, and said car should be ready for pick up tomorrow:

That seems slow to me.
No lifts kick either. Maybe under 6k rpm.
Be sure lift is engaging.
And don't redline it too much.

I'll try and get some footage to post here. I got a chance to put the car through its paces and boy is it a sleeper! Completely different car. Very twitchy in low gears, motor wants to be revved and abused. Can confirm lift kicking in at 5k-6k rpm. Car really comes alive when it kicks in.

Online. Get a cheap bluetooth one and use car scanner application.

Do not redline it too much. 2zzge oem oil is not good for redlining. Will damage the engine eventually.
Lift is between 6-6.7k rpm, ecu decides when to.
2zzge transmissions got 4.5 final drive.
What is the rpm at 100km/h?
Check the ecu part number to be sure from which car it came.

Mechanic installed original hoses. Apparently the fuel pressure was causing the aftermarket hose to swell and rip. All seems good now!

you may want to visit lawrence road area (near civil hospital emergency gate) and get teflon lined or teflon hoses with wire braiding and AN Fittings

Do these kabuli engines have any running period before you can floor them? Could you share any acceleration run video of the car?

No. But they do got bad valve seats. Because of sitting for too long. But eventually get better after some driving.

Piggybacks can do that. And then a retune of high cam fuel+ignition+vvt .
