Ali bhai, there's a reason why the rights of your fellow human beings have been stressed upon more than anything else.. Family comes first, then your relatives and so on... I wouldn't be surprised to see those people being dragged in the life hereafter, who disregard their obligations toward their family in pursuit of other secondary things..
@bango dude, you seem to have had completely overlooked the provision that I so explicitly provided in the brackets, i.e.
(if they, the children, really are grateful)
If someone isn't true to their parents - as per the description of a person that you provided - who reared them when they were helpless and all, how can you even expect such a person to be true to something (i.e. religion), which if I speak rationally, is quite subjective, and all but arbitrary..?
@wiki, your explanation is what I really believe in.. I mean, I dont consider myself the sort of person who would claim that they love someone (e.g. a religious figure) more than their life or parents etc. and all that stuff.. because I know that I simply dont, or better put, I just cant, because its human nature..and if I claim otherwise, I'd be a hypocrite..
For majority of us, its simply a matter of ego (as I believe is also the case in this cartoons issue) and showing off to the next person that, see, i'm more righteous than you are...
