Depends on the kind of job you do, i also used to do cabling up of idfs, mdfs, structured pulls and also bss/greenfield installs.
Money was good because the team i was part of was one of the very best. It was mule work but paid exceptionally good.
Running an autoshop in khi, its all labour but the money was exceptionally well. Myself and my mechanics were paid very very generously too. My only requirement was quick and quality work and willing to learn.
E.g. the time allowed to change a front wheel bearing on a fwd car was 1.5 hrs at max in my shop. Generic tooling like hydraulic press etc. was available in house. Other shops took close to a whole day.
So yes you can make bank in pakistan too if you honestly know your work and are true to it. I still do multiple work here in usa, my auto one is secondary. I still work on networks/voip. And also loan out special tooling like mercedes benz cdi injector puller and glow plug removal set, bmw di injector pulling jig, timing tools etc to other similar shops. Pays well.
I can choose to waste time watching tv or hanging out doing nothing, or i can choose to make my retirement comfy. I choose the former.
Manual work in pakistan is just like anywhere else, if u provide useless work, u get paid in peanuts. E
g. A simple job of installing a split ac in pakistan is rocket science. Where proper techs who actually vacuum and adjust the true charge get paid very nicely and the rest gutka chewing morons using sloppy worn out fake tools and "10 saal tajurba of bharosay wala vacuum and haath ka andaaza get paid in junk.
