Dimensions of Picanto are more or less same as Celario aka Cultus.
Therefore, expect prices somewhere around Cultus.

I am looking forward to Kia picanto, have seen their office at shahra-e-faisal in karachi, they had been testing picanto, rio and carnival since a year now, the units can been standing on the roads at al tijarah building, the cars look quite booring there just like suzuki's here, lets hope that it doesnt happen,
I am also waiting for united bravo desperately coz they are supposed to be the most cheapest ar assemblers here, I am still afraid that abs, power steering, air bags, and a good suspension will be missing from most the cars coming in a few years from now on, , lets see

So far the articles seem to be running on half baked presumptions! Why doesn't anyone professionally approach and get the companies feedback? Are we just forwarding articles because we can get published? Seems nobody even knows to suggest proper lineup to the!
Lineup should be Picanto 9 to 10.5 lacs, Rio 11 to 12.5lacs Hatchback and Forte 4 door 14 to 16.5lacs, Niro compact 18 to 21 lacs and Sorento SUV 40 to 45lacs... Whoever suggested the diesel MPV!? He is a knuclehead, its more expensive than the Sorento and we have diesel good for trucks only, why bring headache like Turbo civic?
Niro can duel with BRV and Vezel as it also has hybrid model and could have been next to be brought in.
I read to be enlightened and end up reading same shit! Also there are no more decent listings on the cars for sale page. Only car dealers posting page after page. And people finding 10 yr old posts! PW get your shit together!

The reliability figures quoted in the article should not be taken as a measure when looking at the Pakistani auto market. The uk/eu has far better roads, infrastructure and higher quality of fuel available. This is a major contributor when establishing the reliability factors on a car as the road conditions and quality of fuel directly impact the wear and tear a car experiences.

What would be interesting to watch out would be Kia's pricing strategy for Pakistan and also, whether they offer the 7 year /100,000 miles (161, 000 km) warranty that kia is known for in the UK /Europe.

Bro... Stinger is placed in bracket above Optima. Optima is parallel to Hyundai Sonata. Both are rival to Toyota Camry and Accord. Both Camry and Accord are well over 1 crore in Pakistan. How can you expect it to be priced less than Optima? I would say if a famiky sedan is warranted then the turbo Optima is an awesome ride but the price tag will at least reach 80 lakh for that. So No stinger shouldnt be a target. Ofcourse they can always give option for import on order. Its supposed to be having a run at M series BMW so please give it some respect in pricing ...

Oh yesss... they should do good with a warranty of 7 years. It will give people peace of mind. Am waiting for Hyundai and KIA to have the final lineup on table with pricing and options to decide on whats best bang for the buck. I have owned Hyundai Azera and loved it for what it brought in the price! They have their weaknesses but nothing that can't be overlooked if the price is right. Reliability is established for me.

Right now I am in Indonesia. And trying to do a comparison between prices of Kia Cars and Honda cars with current available prices of Indonesia. I am converting all prices in PKR.

Kia Cars:

Kia Picanto 12.65 ~ 12.65 lac (5 seater, hatch-back, 1248cc, 86hp) //some how reasonable, should be 11 lac
Kia Rio 21.00 ~ 22.20 lac (5 seater, hatch-back, 1348cc, 99hp) // very bad price
Kia Sportage 32.35 ~ 39.80 lac (5 seater, SUV , 1999cc, 156hp) // bad too. Should be less than 27-lac.

Honda Cars:

Honda Brio 11.00 ~ 14.90 lac (5 seater, hatch-back, 1198cc, 89hp) Excellent price
Honda Jazz 19.60 ~ 23.00 lac (5 seater, hatch-back, 1497cc, 118hp) Bad price
Honda City 26.20 ~ 27.00 lac (5 seater, sedan , 1497cc, 118hp) Extremely bad price
Honda Civic 40.30 ~ 40.57 lac (5 seater, sedan , 1498cc, 171hp) Turbo :: Extremely bad price
Honda Civic R 83.40 ~ 83.40 lac (5 seater, sedan , 1996cc, 306hp) Another bad example of price.

In my experience, Indonesia is also having stupid prices of many cars. That is why only few car models are sold.

And believe me all prices of Kia are stupid. That is why very very few cars from Kia in Indonesia.

In my opinion prices of Kia are higher than expected, and that will be killer point for them in Pakistan Market too.

If launched in expected given prices, I don't think somone will take a risk of experience only. Because people having more concerns on availablity of parts and then "ye to market ki gaari hi ni he bad mn biky gi nai" Less prices are not mandatory not due this because I have don't or less money, but because of something is running through dacads rather i would say running in bloods, and if you want to get it thrown out, have to do something extra ordinary. Otherwise like earlier, the new entrants will be vanished due non sale and less profit.
