As much as I love my Rolex I sometimes wished I had a watch that flies under the radar without the bling. A watch enthusiast will know what it is but the average joe will think it's a $20 watch from Walmart. I loved Panerais in The Expendables so here is my brand new Pam 90.

Dial is not my style, but love the presentation and appraisal. A few family members have Rolexes and Omegas etc, but none have had an appraisal done on them.

I guess its a niche product and requires appraisals to ease movement. Just my guess.

An awesome investment nonetheless. MashAllah.

None of the insurance companies here will insure any high end watch without an appraisal. So I needed it done for both the Panerai and my Rolex Submariner as well. Protects you if you are robbed, the watch is lost or stolen, etc.

Please suggest, which model to go for.

Personally I am in love with 2016 Mudmaster series (the expensive yellow and red ones here). Awaiting your feedback. Thanks.

Joma ships insured to Pakistan and has the lowest prices for a lot of brands when their deals are on. I just ordered watch yesterday through a import service provider from Joma. With Joma's USPS method it would have cost me 148$+risk of loss+risk of a heavy custom duty. With the import service provider its costing me 143$ with everything covered. EMAIL5 is a 5$ off code currently working on joma to help you get started. Once my purchase is in I will be sure to post it and also what I own currently a extremely beat up ef503d blue dial (think speedmaster homage).

Retailers in the UAE arent known for giving discounts. Some US dealers will if you are a regular client. If you are visiting the US or Europe I would buy it there.

Back in 1985 my grandfather toured the whole of Europe and went till Switzerland to buy a rolex day date president solid gold black dial (It has a full diamond bezel & diamonds on the numerics I believe 46 diamonds in total). What he was looking for he could not find at the biggest Rolex AD even in geneva and was told that to find a cheap brand new Rolex London was the place. He bought his second Rolex from there because it was the cheapest. Back then Dubai only probably had the Hyatt Regency probably :p. He was able to acquire it in London at a very competitive price, add the VAT reduction at the airport. That watch has now passed down to my dad but unfortunately I will never be able to wear it because i'm against Gold on a man

My other hand me downs include a Omega Seamaster Deville from 1963 maybe someday I will send it to Omega for a restoration plus a Omega Time Computer 2 which is still in working order. Neither watch I can wear because of their gold tone both religiously and aesthetically I have issues with Gold:(

I've asked around a bit, the cheapest Seiko 5 I managed to find was going for 9,500 rupees, ouch!
Well, I do have a 'Chinese Rolex', also known as "A CLONE" which I bought for mere 3,000 a few years ago! It still ticks, but is getting pretty worn out by regular usage... But is still a 'show-stopper' because of it's skeleton design!
Speaking of Skeletons, I LOVE skeleton clocks... Too bad, that Seiko 5 isn't and hence barely look any more unique than a QUARTZ, otherwise I'd have considered increasing my budget... Believe me, HUNDREDS of people have asked questions about my clock whenever I remove my sleeve to take a glance at it to note the time!
P.S Rolex doesn't make skeletonized clocks, so be wary of someone who's selling his so claimed GENUINE SKELETON ROLEX! In other words: HE'S LYING, BIG TIME!

Buy seiko from jomashop or any other japanese outlet, seiko prices are ridiculously high in Pakistan and really don't deserve even a second glance. For Casio always buy from master distributors, I know one in Karachi. Both the edifice and seiko 5 are some of the best value for money pieces out there. I have stooped to buying a clone once but never again in my life will I resort to that measure again, sasti laylo magar original lo. The sense of pride one has in buying a original can never be replicated with a clone, period!

Price should be equivalent to international MSRP and then you have discounts which depending on the time of the year are different but here in Pakistan watch prices for even old stock keep increasing. So even if you have to visit both showrooms visit them a difference of 1-2% depending on sales person of discount amount is good. If they are selling above MSRP simply try on everything you like and leave them and order from Dubai.
