Twenty cars sold(invoiced and delivered) in two weeks at the dealer i took a test drive at. The real picture will start emerging next year as most folks will want a 2010 registration. But, going by sales figures reported from all dealers ,cars are flying off the shelves even this month!. Maruti-Suzuki alone is expected to sell 1.1million cars this year!. Expected 2010 releases from Suzuki are the new Swift, new Wagon-R, new Kizashi sedan , Eko minivan and GM has the Beat and other models lined up to keep pace in this growing market. Caddys too are going to be on the rack at select GM dealership beginning 2010. In short, anything will sell here nowadays, including the RIO, above. At @6lacs expect the car to fly off the shelf too!.
Despite nice cars/bikes at reasonable prices and more mobility among the masses, there is still absolute disregard for road rules and regulations. The bike guy is supposed to be on a dedicated lane to the right of the road. Instead, he weaves in and out of the car lanes and tries to squeeze his way thru.Idiot. Even the bus guys drive on their dedicated lanes(extreme left of road) given that being a Govt. vehicle they can get away with a lot. That's how it is. The public @#$%
