Prolly Vento, but it ain't easy deciding on a new car anymore over here. Below is my trusted daily driver, the Maruti-Suzuki Estilo and for less than four lacs i got a peppy F8D engine, feather-lite power steering, power windows/locks, remote entry/lock, alloys and faux wood panel on the dash. Drives everywhere and on any surface with a smile on it's face, fold the rear seat and i can carry a refrigerator too!. What i mean is every car sold in this market is packed with stuff , reliable, reasonably priced and contemporary in each size category and it is difficult to make a choice of new car. In two years i've spent RS 3000 on two regular service visits at my dealer on the Estilo. That's it.

The BEST (Bombay) is marginally better at following road manners than the lovely folks at the MTC (Madras), BMTC (Bangalore), DTC (Delhi) etc.

I don't know how you do it, Nick. The last time I tried to take a picture whilst driving, my license was taken away by a traffic cop who was riding alongside my car. I'd never want to risk it again, not even with a camera. You aren't allowed to use your cell phone at a red light even.

Possibly the ugliest sedan on Earth.

buddy Indian market is burgeoning.. u 'll keep getting confused if u don't decide according to what your requirements are... Vento ain't bad at all.. if it fulfills your requirements then u should go or it... or tell me which cars have u short-listed.. or have u short-listed any??..

"Loverly" folks is more like it. But, i never click pics when there's a cop car nearby:grin:. It's ok to use a cell phone when idling at a traffic light but not when driving in Chennai and they're beginning to install cameras at traffic junctions now which is a bummer.Life's getting harder by the day.

Vento is what i'm on for at the moment. If Maruti will intro a new SX4 i'd be on Cloud9 but it ain't gonna happen as the car is a little over half it's 5 year cycle in the market.And, i need a change and change is always good, don't ya think?.The only thingy one can't change is one's family, though!.

I'm really excited 'bout the Alto K10 launch. This car has got to be a pocket rocket with the punchy K10 engine variant , improved suspension and better ergonomics and at around RS3.2lacs to Rs3.5lacs all included!.I'll have a full review and pics in this thread next week.I saw the teaser ad earlier tonight and the front looked good to me!.
