It's the long weekend and hopefully i'll find some time to visit a few car dealers and check out what's new. Here's some domestic cars i've ignored a bit which is all this thread is mainly about, which highlights local cars from showroom to street!. The spottings are incidental.

Raja Gaadi. This car has been in continous production since 1957!.

The 'Jaypee' International Race Circuit is now renamed 'Buddha International Circuit' to pay homage to Gautam Buddha.

The time table of the race has been revealed. Here are the details

It is a 60 lap race of 5.137 Km per lap. The schedule is:

• Friday 28th October 2011

o Practice Session 1 – 1000 AM to 1130 AM

o Practice Session 2 – 200 PM to 330 PM

• Saturday 29th October 2011

o Practice Session 3 – 1100 AM to 1200 Noon

o Qualifying Race – 200 PM onwards

• Sunday 30th October 2011

o Final Race – 300 PM Onwards

F1 happening in India is incredible.. wish i could join... and i hope it turns out to be a good circuit... i also hope that Tilke is not involved in this project otherwise its bound to be a boring track :S ... Great choice of name too.. Buddha was a great figure...

Thanks. I'll try and attach though i admit i'm not computer savvy. I take pics wherever i happen to go and mostly usual places i frequent often for utilitarian reasons mostly. Appreciate your comment.

You ARE the exception, then. Actually, among that cluster sign of restaurants that happened to be in the photo, 'Zara's' is the place to be weekends.It's a nice boutique bar and the ambience is superb.

updates: The refreshed Corolla will be launched May 05 with 'stop/start' ignition, smart key and 7-speed CVT A/T gearbox.The new Hyundai Verna will be launched May 11, 2011. Lots more new cars coming next month and i'll update as i get info.

Chennai's posh car people prefer either black or white. There has to be other color choices available!.:o
