lol!. Yew brought this Mahindra thingy up in this thread!!!. Truly, the truck looks alright in person.Check out my ' 2008 New Delhi Auto Expo thread' for pics. Could be better looking for sure and Mahindra is working on a new Scorpio SUV design and pickup derivative , so the next generation will look better. Mahindra will initially enter the US market with this low cost pickup and also the contemporary Xylo MUV. Hope they succeed. Mahindra currently manufactures Boleros in Uruguay and they are converting the plant to churn out pickups also for the US market is what i hear, so transporting costs are reduced.
Re: Indian design trends , TATA and Mahindra's new range of products are catching up with the rest of the world as also other Indian auto majors like Ashok Leyland etc.. Mahindra's pickups are currently sold in Australia, Africa , South East Asia and South America and people are buying them in these markets!. People like 'ugly', it seems.:D.TATA's upcoming Indicruz MUV is a world class designed product. Google 'IndiCruz' and check it out. Hillary Clinton is in Mumbai as of now and met captains of Indian industry including Tata, Mahindras , Mirzas , Godrej et al and the US is opening it's doors to Indian products like they did for the Japanese and Chinese. Check out the first Japanese cars that came Stateside. Same thing's happening again, this time it's the Indians turn, i guess.
