Whats the difference in SPL and SQL?

Well Jl audio is in a league of its own in sq and sql aswell. i guess ppl use it for spl purpose aswell. but i think Jl are quite overpriced but their quality is excellent.

Enerlevel i hav read about these DD subs, Sundowns, Ascendant Audio, Ground Zero. Their users say that these global brands dont even stand a chance against the americanos.

Like meades system has 4 18 Fi Btls, he hit 152db at 20 hz on termlab.
how do u rate these and any way we can get them here !!!

their high end subs are use to compete
in bass race and kind of race ,especially digital Design and Resonant Engineering

6x 15 Orion HCCA hitting 157db @ 27hz

SMD is using Ascendant Audio ,Fi BTLs times UP
but i have never seen JL in bass competetion

i usually comment on those things which i have had experience with. i havnt used fibl nor dd subs so i cannot comment on it.

u say ur box is tuned at 28hz and still its loud...... well its impossible or mayb u have very sensitive ears lol. u cannot go loud on a 28hz box however u can go very deep. but as long as u r satisfied then its ok.

Farrukh u need to understand one thing. If ur goal is a few mins of boom to impress the boys n girls :P, Go with The spl option else if u like daily listening at pleasant volumes sq subs then.

sahi keh rahay ho aap..yaar mere enclosure main ek masla hai...agar main headunit se 63hz karon to loud volume main bass kam ho jaati hai..aur headunit se 80hz kar doon to loud volume main bhi bass aati hai...yeh kya masla hai ? aur crossfire Xt212 ke specs to kahin se mil hi nahi rahay jo main enclosure tune karwa sakon
low volume main woofer bass bohat hi lash aati hai..loud volume main bass thori kam ho jaati hai..

you know your FS of subwoofer is 30hz ,why did you tune it below FS??
its not good tunning for your subwoofer , all i can say your woofer will have some Bhur Bhur in below 30hz notes

bahi , Next time when you tune Enclosure Make it in between 33~36hz tunning frequency , Loudness will begin right after 2,3hz above tunning frequency

if you set it to 36hz , from 39hz its Sound pressure will increase where below 36hz Sound pressure Level will cutoff

to bring some loud , as it 3001 can do best , tune it to 36hz ,
where 33hz is very good ,

EQ : L0 , M* , H*
Eq2 : 40hz 2W (its givemore boomy) as compare to 2Narrow
LPF : 100Hz +3
HPF : 100hz

you are getting all of the power form amplfieir , before reaching the maximum volume till you bear from loudness of speakers

e.g
Volume - 10
Woofer`s power - 50%
Speakers power - 30%

Volume - 20
Woofer`s Power - 98%
Speakers power - 61%

Volume - 30
Woofer Power - 100% and over resulting clipped and distored sound
Speakers Power - 98%

try lower down your gains or Setting ( the boost level you gave from all enchancement from headunit )

What is the differentiation b/w deep and loud.

under 45hz it sounds very gud above that trash !!!

Mb its deep sound that i think is loud LOL. but to compare, songs like late nite tip, sound much louder on my system compared with a friends w308 pair running of solid audio f47.

One more thing , the beat is not tight at all, it only sounds excellent wid songs that have a long bass note like night tip. Trance sounds ****

i shall record a vid of sound and post for ur ref.
Just tell Me What tuning and what size to make this woofer go the loudest possible with least compromise of low frequency.

late night tip has many bass variations. the first bass note tht hits plays very good high tuned boxes and the last note play very good in low tuned boxes. and video shows nothing. somthings can only be felt and heard by listening to the system and not by videos.
and the reason y u find ur setup loud is because
1) u have a small car
2) ur woofer is right behind ur ears
3) ur speaker setup and headunit (stock) is very much underpowered then ur woofer setup.

when sharpness , mid quality increases, bass effect starts to decrease. notice how good stock front speakers play on stock headunits but components dont trend u give u tht bass because of their increased mid and treble quality

nothing compensates a poor built box. i am damn sure his box is tuned above 40hz. and he has all the settings touching the roof specially the "loud=high".

Woofer is facing rear windshield.
