v cool tints are also good but they are not better than 3M! they gave me 3 years warranty also! no scratches and visibility is awesome!

3m is a multi thingie sort a company who makes everything what they can n sell they make glues,tapes,ribbons,tin foils,food foils,ink refills etc etc n tints also while v kool are serious uv tinting guys, nasa's many shuttles were v kooled later on with there uv films. google it out! v kool is done on our family cruiser for almost 65k rs, though vkool was bought from uae. its 15% and its simply magic.

3M tints have something that reflects not only light but also stops UV, Infrared and heat entering into the car even if the tint is 25% and colorless. similar thing is used in Burj Khalifa to reflect sun heat and UV and infrared rays emitted by sun and sand. so in simple words: no heat, no sunlight, no UV, no infrared----------->NO cancer, no sun burn. thats why 3M is hell expensive and durable.

3M is basically a Science Company and the product list consist of more than 64000 items. The sheets which people are mentioning here are basically Anti Shatter Sheet (in case of some explosion) and the UV is an added advantage. They can't be classified as Tinted Sheet.

I will ask their Sole Distributor today about the exact price for different cars. We do have alternatives as well like ArmorCoat, they have the same characteristics and also an American Product and is easily available throughout Pakistan. I will take permission from the Distributor and then will announce his numbers as well.

60 and 97% are the official figures i guess, whats the experience? any major difference in heat buildup inside car?

I have checked the prices. The product is Solar Guard from ArmorCoat USA. They are available in Lahore and Islamabad. At an average for a car this will cost around 12K ~ 14K. For SUV's the cost might go up by 30% ~ 40%.

Got these quotes from 3M rep;

Option 1: The top of the line is 'Crystalline' series, which is arguably the most high-tech, high performance film (97% IR rejection) available in the market, is applied on the front windshield (Full) and a darker version on the sides and back and costs Dhs.2,800.00 with a five-year 3M international warranty.

Option 2: Second in line is called 'Color Stable' or CS series, comes in three hues or VLT (Darkness), also carries a five-year warranty and costs Dhs.800.00 for the sides and back. We can however offer a visor strip of about 9-10 inchesfor the front windshield, free of cost.

Option 3: FX is the entry level version for Dhs.700.00 with a two-year warranty. The visor strip for the front windshield is optional.

Option 4: You may consider Crystalline on the front windshield and CS 35 on the sides and back for Dhs.1,750.00 which is a good value for your money.

^^^ if u r taking about united tyres shop in front of a mosque then i probably know him we call him "sindhii" that 2500 is for small cars i.e mehran or khyber cultus etc i guess

As I travel a lot on motorway between Lahore and Islamabad (day-trips) the 1st thing I noted was reduction in glare & heat (especially on the way back) when sun is shining on side of your face you don't feel the burning heat, no more shades. You feel very comfortable, like wearing Ray ban's. Moreover there is drastic cut in glare from on & rear coming traffic on high beam.

The car feels much cooler when parked in sun, and gets cool quicker. I think its money well spent.

Sir what is the percentage of tint you have on your car?
A picture of your car would certainly help.
I too want to get my car's rear windows tinted but I want to avoid the police at the same time.I don't want to be stopped by police every now and then.
