Dear all,
I'm not sure if we have good enough audience and interest for this particular thread and my basis of saying it is the amount of participation from the users of this forum. I'm not sure whether I started the thread in the wrong forum or what. Where are all the mountain and nature lovers that I've seen participating in the threads. I would have to make a call if the participation does not increase as the amount of work put in to develop this thread needs some justification.

I'm a fairly new user of this portal and would like to get input from the senior members.

Just a few words to discuss and no offense to anyone intended.

Ducati, Thanks for your appreciation. However you could understand my standpoint on putting this effort for people to learn and enjoy about an area that is not much discussed here, but having lack of interest may not justify the amount of time/efforts.

i think the reason for this is that most of the users (including me) have never been to nepal and attempted this adventure so they r reluctant to comment.
all they can say mayb (including me) is that its an marvelous adventure........

i had posted many such topics while travelling and trekkeng in china and got a response far worse than this.
in any case this is a great information for any1 eyeing this region.....

I understand your viewpoint but I would ask more if I've not visited an area. I hope there wont be any more reluctance after this discussion and we'll get more people to participate in this thread. When people participate in a thread it becomes fun otherwise it is quite boring frankly. Because I've seen this what I'm sharing and its for others to see and enjoy.

A rescue heli

A lot of rescues take place everyday in this region due to breathing problems, injuries etc. We took our emergency and high altitude insurance through a British company for about $80 per person for 16 days trip.

Stunning scenery all around

Taken from the highest point on the rest day, when we climbed to 13000 ft appr and then went back to Namche so that our bodies start adjusting to the high altitude. These precautions increase chances for any hikers to reach their final destination!
