cvt gear oil is to be replaced at 40, shouldn't be driven more than that

according to the manual . replacement is at 80KM . till then just inspect the level and viscosity . both are good in my car.
40k is for manual transmission fluid or very old automatic transmissions. CVT and new auto transmission originals go easily upto 70-80k

Your cat will fail at 50k, every cvt oil is changed at 40. Regular auto is different, cvt has to be done

Buy anything, keep in mind now days 660cc maintance is hell expansive n careem uber rats r low, for me all r same n give equal performance, Mira n alto body is small n give better avg, BTW now days I have only stingray left on careem, n soon I ll sale that too. Better not to invest , still interested ? Buy pkdm wagon r or mehran.

I i.e. (my family) had mira es, a self import vehicle at 13k on odo with 4 or 4.5 grade on auction. Was used in Isb for routine house hold/ office purposes. Was driven with extensive care i.e. with very light foot. Routine maintenance was done after every 3k cycle, with high grade engine oil and genuine filters. After 25k of drive it felt like the car's engine was on strain and working very hard to run, one could literally feel something being wrong with engine and needing a somebit overhaul. 660cc are very fragile engines if to said politely and have short healthy life span. They need genuine mantainence after certain period. If a home used vehicle is used with much care to say least and you end up with where we did, I doubt having mira or any 660cc on ride hailing services would be a sensible choice considering in the end in real life at most economy is same btw 16-17km tops.
Better to stick with wagon R, or if can extend budget try cultus VXR for this matter.

This was your problem, right there, excessive oil changes and not giving the cat convertor room to clean itself,
I had 2 660 altos, 2007 and 2011, driven both over 70k kms, no issue besides regular maintenance

Lol very interesting logic to know clean oil does that to your engine, second I did not say mine was not running. But there was a substantial difference/strain one could feel after certain K's on odo. You can have a car and run as long as it does not breaks itself on the road. There's a fine line between understanding pleasure and pain WRT car in this matter. I could recall many experiences where these cars are not for WOT/high strain purposes.

Lol, early oil chances leaves deposits in the engine, which do more harm than good, also your choice of oil makes a world of a difference. another thing is that due to bad quality fuel, you have to give it a hard pedal every now and then, not use it as a hilux pick up.
As for your substantial strain, that is usually due to a blocked cat convertor or a clogged fuel filter.

You both are correct in your experiences but keep in mind you both had different cars that may have seen different levels of care, use or even abuse. So there is no point arguing here on it.
And the poor guy asked for advise as his purpose is a car that hauls 12-14hrs daily, so going with that i think he might fare better with a newer car althouth any car would demand alot of maintenance and might break down early with such running, if not looked after properly.
