Mark II comes in 2.0ltr 1G-FE and 2.5ltr comes with 03 different engines(which you might feel gaz guzzlers) keeping in view a good maintained 2.0ltr Mark II with decent driving habbit will surely gives 8 plus kms per ltr. Which is more a less equal to a 1.8 ltr Civic P/M.

1st Option Axio, Pros CVT, 10/10 AC, 10/10 brakes, cons (hard to find a clean one)
2nd Option CL7, Pros Grace, Comfort, Safety, Cons (hard to find a clean one and expensive to keep.
3rd Option Civic Reborn, Pros (easily available) cons Blind corners, Cramped rear seats, eats lot of fuel

Do not buy new city. Except for the decent mileage it has no comfort at all.

Mark II seems to be a good option as it is quite a big car and would definitely leave a great impression no matter where i go and if its average is almost the same as civic and accord, it should be good for me. the only plus for accord in my opinion is that dad would love the NAME of the car and i would have the nice looks

axio is a nice looking car but its not too common yet and i'd rather go for a lancer if i have to go for a cheaper import. just the looks that i dont like, but over the regular corolla, axio would be preferred by a guy like me(just for the looks and all the good that i've heard about it at PW)
City isnt really an option as i want a bigger car, more like a FAMILY car. city does not really have that look. i want a car that's good for both me and dad. @ahmedk06 what would be your choice then? reborn isnt too good, neither is accord, nor is axio. :s

Only if you are considering Galant,for sure which is much better but less common than a Lancer,by having 1.5M budget you can easily find a 2005~06 model which comes either in 2.0ltr or 2.5 VR gasoline which surely is a beast in its class but very very difficult to find a good well maintained,similarly quite hard to find spares even though if you make a decision for Galant search Lahore or Karachi market.

So why don't you buy a year or two old one?

Civic.....automatic Reborn shape is known to do 7-9 km/l locally. Eagle shape would do same now considering it'd be at least seven years' old.

By the way, since you're ready to buy second hand, why not an imported Toyota?

im sorry, i didnt consider that a serious suggestion.
but APV doesnt fit with the ones im considering, its a little different from accord, civic, galant, mark ii, city and axio, isnt it?

A little different? It's way poles apart! I just said because you told your Honda isn't enough for everyone. My sister has four kids, goes to drop and pick them herself with the driver. She had the same dilemma and ended up buying Ssangyong Stavic. Now everyone is in peace except for my brother in law who has to pay for its expensive running and maintainance. But yes, despite its hearse kinda ugly looks, it certainly IS fun to be in whether you're at the driving seat or sitting between six people at the back!

i was just being a little sarcastic bro. well, i'll go visit the markets at jail road or probably DHA after eid to see a few cars and the price demanded. seeing the pictures on PW is good but i saw my neighbour's car that's a crap car now 2004 civic, but the pictures he posted in his ad showed a scratchless and perfect car. i guess pics from 2004 those were.

Civic 8th Gen is comfortable, nice style and fuel economy is about 7.8kmpl with Air Conditioning. It's a good option if you have deep pockets.

If you are into JDM cars buy an imported Honda Civic Hybird or Axio.

If you want to go for a local car buy a 2012 September 1.3 L auto city with Titan interior.

Civic reborn is good but it will never give you 9km/l in city only the M/T version and it is not a good idea to drive M/T for 30 KM daily.

Also dont buy a Prosmatec shape as its nearly a decade old now and fuel economy is below average and parts are as expensive as reborn.

now if i get axio, it MIGHT just end up like kia spectra, having a value same as a mehran of the same year.
another factor is that any axio below 15 lacs has already done over a 100000 Ks that is kind of a setback, i can get a civic driven that much at a cheaper price, a lancer at less than half the price, even a local corolla at a much lower price compared to axio.
city is not approved by someone in the family as they want a bigger car that is a bit more spacious in the trunk and car carry 5-6 people somehow

Brother Lancer parts cant be found even in junkyards.

Even the 2002-03 Corolla X is selling for above 1M after a decade so there is no doubt about Axio resale.

I have a local 2004 GLi which had well past 280,000 KM and it still starts on half self so you should not doubt the reliability of AXIO. Most of the mechanical parts apart from body are identical to local corolla.

Just check if the car is not accident or reconditioned.

Reborn is good if you can live with high fuel costs auto reborn will not give you more than 7-8 km/l if you are not in Islamabad. On motorway however it can give you 9km/l.

You may also test drive an Altis 2008-09 trust me its high speed stability and cornering is much better than the 04-06 Prosmatec shape despite what any teenager college boy will claim about his prosmatec.

You can get a good hardtop Prosmtec 2010 for 1.5M and Oriel Prosmatec 2008-09 with less than 75K in Khi. No idea about your place.
