well in my opinion a 2.0d new shape for pakistan is good.
acceleration is good,power is excellent
it almost comes upto a 1.6 se saloon but as the gear ratios+torque is greater thus better in performance but petrol cars in pakistan are poor on feul economy..

Corolla 2.0D saloon 12-13km/L (with A/C) City & 14-16km/L (With A/C)Highway at average speed of 120km/hr
Also Note Rs.20/- price difference
Corolla 1.8 altis oil + Filter change at 5000km Rs.1350/-
Corolla 2.0D saloon oil + Oil Filter at 5000km Rs.1550/-
Oil Frequency Is Reduced if Placed With Proper Quality Oil--Toyota
Petrol requires 10,000km tune up,sparkplug change 15000km,air filter at 10000km
Diesel requires diesel filter change at around 25000-30000km,air filter at 10,000km
Cousin had A 2.0(standard) 2003 Drove it 190000km--no suspension work,no engine work(tip Top Position), Mechanically Excellent. The car was driven by 8 different drivers during the tenure.usually used between Nowshera-Peshawar,Nowshera-Lahore.Now sold and bought new 2.0D 2005 in 2005.
This suggest quality of the car parts/Mechanically/engine is good
the smoke problem in new shape corollas is almost undetectable only seen with cars driven as sports cars or badly maintained
