heheh it was not ahead launch ...in launch i can take rolla even batter then 1.6L car any:P...just launch.....it was used to be our daily rountine...so didt raced once but alot of time

i know the vtec guy was not good with how to use vtec in launch ..otherwise gap woud have been 2 or 3 ...

^^^^ ur absolutely right! which is why i said im confused! n btw, no1 has done 0-100 on the swift, the video posted is an international video n that swift has a speedometer of 200 where as the one available in pakistan has a speedo till 180! so its NOT paka k the swift touches 100 in 10 sec i.e faster than the new city!

n bro, ive seen balenos "ARE AY PEE EYE ENN GEE" corollas n lianas heck even the idsi city!

few days back i was rcing my g15 with a d15vtec and vti....a swift came in which was an exi ..and they are head to head...so i feel swift is not quick.....yet to see between a city and swift....

regarding baleno it only has long gears...nothing else....

new gli was half car behind then mine in 400meter .cuz after 2 gear new starts to slow down

I have driven XLI, City, and Liana and according to my experience the rating may go like this.

1- Corolla
2- Liana*
3- City"

*Liana and City are almost same in speed but in some I observed that Liana leads in speed than City.

I think a simple drag race does not justify the car's overall performance.
Rule of thumb would be any car with bigger power/weight ratio would take the lead.

Just like a C63 AMG takes on M3 on a straight but everybody knows what an M3 is all about.

why not just line them all up and get it over with? obviously on such cars the skill of the driver will make a huge difference but since we don't have nay tracks in PK the only real yardstick for "performance" is a street drag race,.. which is the racing equivalent of a caveman!!

Agreed! better get all of them one sum track and race em... but its certainly not the way to test a family passenger car. i wud rather suggest fuel economy, comfort level and reliability tests to be done on these cars.
