well thanks bro but keep in mind if the auto transmission car is CVT and is programmed rightly it has advantage over manual. in a straight line blind drag.
although i agree Honda city not be the winner because its economy oriented. it is programmed for economy.

well first of all from fastest i assume that person want to say straight line drag. in which many of the cars positive and negatives are neglected. therefore in circuit non-fastest car can overtake the fastest car because of there better handling and braking. So @ author whats the criteria?

@F1, I think @sam007 has tried the Sunny and Lancer 1.6 variants. I would have put stock City on bottom speedwise but the engine design of iDSI is meant for best economy you'll find here.
