Sir ji what old school oil you are referring to..All cars after 1988 came with a minimum recommendation of 10w40 oil..My daewoo which is a 1993 model recommends 10w40 oil..Baleno should be the same or better..

your daewoo wasn't made specifically for Pakistani market. it is recommended to use a thicker viscosity oil in hotter weather.

The localized manual which I received when it was purchased 19 years ago stated 10w40 viscosity round the year.I have driven 150k kms on the same grade all this time and car runs like a champ.We should leave viscosity recommendation to the car manufacturers who designed the car.Apni science nai jharni chaiyae.
First time on pw i have to requote statements to prove a point.It is all a general misunderstanding from your side.I advised to op to used grade recommended by manufacturer
