Which UPS/inverter to buy?

Tried any electrical device (pc, router etc) to see if it restarts upon switching ?

I am using Homage 1000VA UPS for 3 years now. Alhamdullilah no problem till now. Mine is made in China, the new ones are made in Pakistan and I have heard that their quality is not as good as it used to be.

Yes, I've read many people say bad about aurora's charging but I read somewhere they were installing speed charging circuit for free if its under warranty (or may be a small charge if it has crossed time).

About Hommage, yes, I also have around 3 being used in the home in separate portions with 2 of them being 3 and 4 years old MashAllah and one just recently installed by brother. Time has come though that even each room needs to has its own UPS (if generators aren't an option for you).
I heard though that hommage now is being made locally and with the fame they've received, they've become extremely crowded too if your device goes faulty and you have to make them fix it.

I did read about inverex being equally good, so if anyone could shed light on that, it would be great.

My elder brother is not a qualified electronics engineer but electronics is his passion, by profession he is a lawyer.

After conducting extensive research, off course including brothers advice I purchase a homage which is working perfectly fine at my home and at homes of few relatives along with brother. Previously brother used to make inverters by himself for his personal and family use. But after homage experience he recommends this brand to every one.

I asked this same question of yours that homage are locally made from their dealer at Saddar Karachi. The Dealer said that the parts are imported in bulk and are assembled here. He further said that due to recent increase on taxes and other legal implications the company has decided to import parts in order to decrease price and to compete with both imported and local brands.

I am a satisfied user only and am not related to homage company in any way.

Hommage has been one of the successful UPS available in the market that majority of the people I've met (and seen here) use and are very satisfied with it. I've been using one for around 4 years now AlhamduLillah.. no issues.

I heard that with the given success of it (and as with other products in pakistan), you will find hommage packaging UPSs in the market but ofcourse their warranty has to be from RNI.

I spoke with inverex guy as I am looking to add a new ups to house and he was probably very occupied to go into details. He mentioned multiple models with chopper and transformer (and not being from electronics, I can't tell which one has advantage over the other, besides the expensive one being better than the other).

Assuming you've been using inverex, and possibly got yourself details on INVEREX, how do you suggest they're better or equally good?

The guy i've mentioned runs his own business in solar, ups and generators and ov vot i've seen myself, homage has failed to deliver the goods. Inverex, Saad will be able to tell you. You can also ask him for a quote with my reference as Saqib.

bro we have cyberpower and home age both are perfectly fit and fine from last year..cyberpower has more power than homage coz we have tested many times its backup timing..last friday electricity shutoff at 10:30pm at night and came in morning at 7:30am 2 fans and 1 25 watt saver for running whole night and when i saw inverter i was showing 1 out of 4 bar so still 1 bar left which can run both fans 2 hours easily.iam using two exide batteries 100 amp 100amp=200amp...Mashallah se cyberpower going good...

I have INVEREX P.It worked well for an year and then some of its transistors heated up due to fan problem. After i repaired it from local market
it worked flawless then.
Its fan run all the time even if there is load shedding. The technician also changed the direction of fan. Now its throwing air inside the ups.
And this ups rarely switches off the computer during load shedding.

i think u guys havent heard abut APC brand which is far too good these pak cheen dosit ups .......... u can run ur room cooler fridge led / lcd tv gaming console regardless of price without any fear .......... its puresine wave and builtin sabilizer and transformer ...... usa made .........

these all pak cheen dosti ups whether homage inverex ecostar etc are same ............. humming sound in fans ....... restarting problem in computer, gamin consoles and led lcd tv ........

Agree with this. My cousin has extensively done his research in the market, and he has been using APC ones for a good while now. Based on his recommendation got it too for my desktop, apc 1500va connected to two ags 120 batteries. Handles power fluctuations very well, not once has my system restarted due to power interruptions.

Of course, these are all second hand ones coming from the US as new ones are very expensive. But no issues so far.
