I've got to admit, the new steering in the 991 version of the 911 is a thorough disappointment and therefore for me it is no longer a true 911 as they've always been about the steering feel. I think the 911 peaked at the previous generation (the 997) in terms of steering feel. if you want to go fast in a straight line (like everyone in PK seems to want to do) then there is the 911 turbo and GT2 with PDK which will both spank almost any street car if needed. That said, the new GT3 (991) isn't bad if you want a PDK but personally i'd rather have a manual (997) on a racetrack (even though the track car has a PDK) as it's very rewarding when you get the downshifts just right(H)
