I dont about other people but my love for the charade is endless.
Lets start with the name CHARADE ... it brings a sweet flavor to mouth.
I own a 1989 Charade GTti running on orignal specs i.e 993cc 12 valve DOHC Turbo Injected Engine.
I mean what anyone can ask for , it has power steering , amazing road grip , mafia looks the details are endless.
I am very fond of it looks , it has never let me down ever. When ever i needed it to fly it flew.
So for me CHARADE is a very good car in short budget.

My Anda Charade has vits engine (1000 cc) EFI and its going excellent. I am enjoying it.

Its 2019, so charade Andaa is now almost 32 years old, Wanna Ask ,is it still worth to buy 88/87 Model in 2019/20 depending on all the factors like maintenance, spare parts availability etc
I have been dreaming for these since last 2 years

Parts wise (body or mechanical) new or old for 87/88 has good availability at this moment. Your main concern would be a strong, non-experimented chasis.

Rest is up to you. If you will be worried about the resale then you should not go for it.

If you are newbie better would be to take assistance. A decent charade is not easy to find. If you are able to come across a genuine, you are very lucky, restore it to your likings.

Otherwise with 3.5 lacs you should get a well maintained, later you can do some finishing.

Guys I am working on 86 re-con charade. I tried Honda twin-vtec engine but the power was way too much. So I took that off and now replaced it with Swift (Margala) engine. Local margala is less powerful so went for auto swift. Then I further altered the EFI system to a carborator one so I can be in control of it's throttle at all times. Auto wasn't allowing me to control speed so had replaced it with manual (at least for now). Done few test drives and this car is literally a beast.
So as per the relevancy to the topic, you can do anything with a charade. It has lot of potential.
Also, I have a question. I need to put in dashboard and seats. Seats I think I should opt for bucket seats, no? Or just standard one's?
2- which dashboard should I put in. Mine got stolen during this project so I do have am option to put in any. Anyone has done it here in 84-86 Charade? Does mira dash fits good?. If anyone has the original dash in spare and wants to sell it, just drop me an email on aliabbas911 at hotmail .com
