What is the interst of US to channel its effort in the interal matters of PK? What inspires US to poke its nose on the crowd of ¼ billion people who are illiterate and without any sense of social awareness.

Because Pakistan has a very important Geostrategic location. Our neighbors, India and China are the regional superpowers of Asia and China will likely become the superpower of the world. Along with that, Pakistan serves as an important trade route for the Central Asian States. The most important factor is that Pakistan has land access to the Middle East which is of high interset to the US. So, having an influence in Pakistan means the US can have an easy time dealing with Afghanistan/Iran and the Middle East and they can also keep India and China in check.
