My business was registered with PSEB for a few years until 2014, but then they made it mandatory to also register with State Bank and report monthly contract details for PSEB renewal. They also jacked up the price to 15,000. I didn't see any benefit of PSEB membership back then, so I dropped it. Now I work as a freelancer, and I see that currently freelancer PSEB registration is free until June 2022, renewal is 2,000 rs. There is also no requirement to report monthly contracts (not mentioned on their site).

I don't see any downside to registering with PSEB. Even if they make unreasonable documentation/reporting demands at renewal, you can just choose not to renew and pay 1% tax. I am thinking about registering as freelancer.

Also, PSEB official website https://www.pseb.org.pk/ now redirects to https://techdestination.com/ , they changed the name?

No one really knows. Maybe if IMF deal goes through the dollar price drops. But looking at ballooning import bill and stagnating exports, I don't think IMF money will help much for long.

IMF installment is not enough but Saudia/China conditional releaf (if imf deal done) and FATF (pakistan have chance to come from greylist to whitelist). these factors will stop rupee depreication.
