To be honest with you. The company knew that no one will buy such expensive wheels unless they wipe their butts with $100 notes instead of tissues. This was only done for publicity, to attract more customers on their other affordable wheels, to expand business. It's all business trick this, make something extraordinary and become well known. Then people actually pay good money for the other range due to the fact that you're in a branded wheel category now. Well that's my thinking towards it.
