*Desert breakdown - NEVER waste your drinking water to cool your car radiator. Bear suggests to turn off AC and turn on HEATER to cope with overheated engine (if radiator isn't burst as in this episode)

This happened to me while I was driving back from Sebring International Raceway at 2 AM. The radiator cap managed to shear off, and was steaming out water until the heat rose up to red. I pulled over in the middle of nowhere and waited for about 10 minutes and drove a bit more. Stopped, and waited for about 20 minutes till the heat died down. Drove a bit more and FINALLY found a gas station.

I had a full bottle of coke (big bottle) and I emptied that and filled water up from the bathroom and put it into the radiator.

In sinking car, he suggests to use "Head rest" to break the window, then in power line, use your "belt" and now "kick" to break:S May be this SUV doesn't have a headrest and Bear is wearing pent without BELT lol

And what do you say about "brake failure"? Let's say I'm going with 80kmph in 5th gear and break fails, shouldn't I make DOWN SHIFT i.e. to 4th gear on down slope?

My instructor (ustaad) told me to:
1) Switch off your engine (Bear says NEVER do that it'll LOCK your steering)
2) Down shift with JERKS (press and release clutch quickly) again he says you'll lose control i.e. it'll break gear box
3) Finally pull hand brake when you slow down (Bear also agrees)

1: I think bear got car with power steering, In pakistan you can do that. thats why your Usdaad here gets +1.

Guys just chang ur gears from top to lower immediate ..... but make sure to control ur car

1) switch off engine but keep key to acc. position, doesnt lock steering in my rolla.
2) doesnt break gear box unless you shift from 5th gear to 1st at 70kmph
3) handbrake....yes, but not at high speeds unless you want a rollercoaster ride
