+1.. people demands high prices for the car in good condition. i just came across a city exis on PW and the owner is asking 820k.

it does not have a different engine/head/etc
it depends upon how much you care about the car and do not wash the engine like a bhains and spray it with diesel afterwards.
my friend has a 2010 vurv and it has misfiring issue.

According to Suzuki, There were many changes made in Liana in the Vurv facelift. We never get our cars engine washed still had an awful experience with Liana.
The thing is that Liana, Swift etc Can not run properly on CNG. Even if they can they need proper CNG kits and professionals to maintain it. Which we do not have. a Swift on CNG is no less than a Liana. A friend owns a 2012 DLX on jugaaru CNG, The coils r fried, car misfires, and checklight on. He is trying to sell it since an year but no buyers.
A liana and Swift throughout petrol driven is very reliable.

True lolz. Till date I haven't seen a single satisfied liana owner yet. Guess what. Even ps has now accepted that changes were made all over liana and all those ff defects were fixed in the new Vurv.

The reasonable price for a JDM 5AFE is not more than 750k, that too for an extremely clean '13 amnesty vehicle. You can find a 1.5 5afe in the limited editions. They mostly come in white and some of them have sunroofs too. I wanted one a few months ago, but since most of the owners were asking above the 1 million price tag, I ended up buying a '14 Passo Hana. Look for Toyota corolla SE limited, you'll find quite a few of them in the market, the engine is one of my favourite Toyota engines, but you'd have to compromise on fuel economy a bit, because 1.6 4afe is better in terms of mileage. A petrol driven 5afe Toyota corolla Ae100 is my dream car, I'll buy it any day of the year for hard cash, but at a reasonable price tag. A cousin had one of those and trust me the drive is awesome, you'd start loving it after the very first drive.

The other options that you have in this budget are, a corolla ae110, a rare but awesome vehicle, If you're into diesel, my recommendation would be a sunny 95-96 with cd20, best diesel car in 600k price range, but a bit heavy on pocket since the parts are only OEM, unlike Indus. Liana is a big no no. Clean city 00-03 or a decent city 04-07 models are also worth buying in this price range. Indus 1.3, just a bit underpowered but extremely reliable and perfect for daily driving, even on CNG, If you want a hatchback, get a Santro. All these cars are trouble free IMO. There are many other options but parts availability could be an issue.

Liana vurv is not a bad car if you find a petrol driven one. CNG in Liana would be your worst nightmare. But its your risk, nobody would recommend a liana to you. Most mechanics would not even touch it, and trust me, you'd have to visit a lot of them. During my ownership period, I took my Liana to dozens of Suzuki dealerships, from many dealerships in Karachi to hyderabad to Multan to Lahore, nobody was ever able to resolve the issues. it was a '06 Liana rxi, and CNG was the main problem, I guess that was the only efi car I had on CNG, after that we had a Mehran for running the errands but was mostly in drivers hands and trust me I was happy with the Mehran but was never satisfied with the Liana. At least I knew how to work on the engine of Mehran.

Sir jee, if you believe in that engine washing bull-poopoo, I can assure you that I never ever poured a glass of water on my engine even. But the m13a in early Lianas was built to perform that way, PS had no idea what they were trying to do. Once a guy at Khair agencies told me to sell the car instead of spending so much on it, that was because I had to visit the dealership 3rd time in a month, once for a water pump leakage, 2nd time for a coil repair and engine oil and filter change, and 3rd time for an over-heat issue during a trip to Haleji and trust me, this happened on the very next day after getting all the fluids changed. Liana would always remain the worst car ever built by PS. Nothing beats that piece of crap.

No one ever said Ecotec had modified head, My friend owns one and it runs perfectly and yeah I confirmed it from Toyota Defence motors when we wen't for its first follow-up if it had any modifications to the head and the representative clearly said, no sir there are no changes of any sort to the engine's head, we've IMC has used high quality and suitable kit for the 2nz-fe so there would be no issues with it on CNG. I was confirming it because I had a really bad experience with CNG in EFI Liana.

Exactly. A reasonably priced Corolla indus can be sold within hours, if not minutes. There's a high demand for this particular vehicle and there are no signs of any sort of decrease in this demand. The JDM induses that I came through were in such great shape that they could last for more than 2 decades easily before giving any major trouble. And even after such a long time, the market is flooded with its parts. AE101 has an evergreen market in Pakistan, thanks to its reliability and cheap maintenance.

P.S: Cheap doesn't mean low quality parts here. You can find OEM parts at trash price at least in Karachi and rest of Sindh, Balochistan & KPK, Lahore also has a huge parts stock at Bilal Gunj and rest of the markets.

No I don't love liana even I currently don't own one but what triggers me that now there are bunch of kids on PW whom can be defined as "wanabe fanboy" see murad posts he him himself isn't clear just assuming thing like one that he say m13a was update to work with CNG than he say even swift can't run on CNG so what was point of that modification? Btw you can't hear a single word against cow and calling me fanboy lol for me car are piece of metal that carries be from one place to another I would have never bother to reply but you post felt quite offensive

You last point define every thing you got overheating issue after fluid change I am sure coolant come in the fluid part that what I am trying to Liana engine block sit lil below the radiator which locks air in between coolant still in vuru the radiator is placed in same manner you can't do much about it you need to bleed out air I don't mind if someone call Liana a piece of crap but what bothers me is the stupid vuru thing you guys trying to spread with stupid logic please grow up

lemme search for corolla ae110. i am not a toyota guy but i am preferring corolla over all the mention cars is due to the low maintainance and reliability..

If you're not a fan of Toyota, believe me you'll become a huge one after owning a clean Indus or corolla II. Their drive is awesome and they're extremely reliable. There's a reason for the huge demand of Indus, all Corollas are reliable and easy to maintain, but this particular model is known for its low centre of gravity and comfortable drive. Corolla II is a better option on paper, in terms of drive,comfort and unique shape but its market is niche in Pakistan. Although it'll sell within hours if priced reasonably.

Yaar saboor73 you should seriously get another Liana. You can't be satisfied with any other car. Liana is a mechanically flop car. People aren't dumb enough to refrain from a car if its cheap and reliable. Liana is a piece of crap you'd occasionally spot a liana after a decade or so and if you're lucky enough to spot one, it'll be an engine swap one.

@muradi knows what he's talking about, you can't just criticise him for his age. I'm sure he knows quite a bit about cars. And you shouldn't be talking about Corolla since you know it is one of the most reliable PKDM sedans. A normal person would buy a car that could serve him, not the one that needs service every other day. Do you think all those Corolla Taxis get their oils changed on time? No, they're extremely abused, but they still perform better than a Liana. A liana with utmost care would also be a problem. There's not even a single 50k plus Liana that doesn't have problems in it. My Corolla is close to 90k and believe me I missed the 80k parts change and got a few necessary belts, foundations and brake pads from Japan autos and replaced them from a trusted mechanic, the periodic oil change is still carried out the dealership and my car has literally no issues at all. Not even a single damn issue. The only I've faced till now was power loss after washing the engine once. I used contact cleaner to clean the plug covers and the car got back to normal. That's how easy a Corolla is to maintain. We've 6-7 corollas till now. An E30, an E80(Chiasi Corolla), an E90, two AE101s, a 9th gen Corolla (E130), A Corolla X, two 10th gen Corollas that I still own and an Axio. Soon I'll be getting the 11th gen corolla. And believe me, they were all equally reliable, I remember all the cars after Chiasi corolla and the previous ones are praised by my father. Who had a RX-7 back in the 90s. So you see, my family is into cars and that's the reason why we love Corolla, its the best car out there. You're the owner of an "ancient" vehicle but you'd be knowing that its still better than your newer Liana.

The initial models had some engine issues and wasn't successful on CNG, Without CNG this car is fine, it has some more quality issues aswell. This is the reason why Swift having same engine wasn't launched on CNG
