Wtb:toyota altis 2011-12 speedometer (cruise tronic)

After a search of about 2 months, Finally I have managed to procure the 2012 Altis Cruisetronic speedometer (Pics are attached). As they say where there's a will there's a way, It was a bolt on or grip to grip fitting hardly took 5 minutes to install.

Congrats hasham brother. I have few questions:

1. How much did it cost you?
2. Where did u get it?
3. In altis the door open indicator show exactly the door which is open, is it doing the same in GLi? As in original gli meter all doors open light is turned on.

As per my info it's around 80K from Indus and yes each indl door icon is shown when the respective door is opened. Just as in Altis.

80K??? that is too high, instead of getting Altis Meter for GLi, its better to get Altis. As 170K difference in price.

1. The price of this speedometer is 29.5K as its of an auto (CRUISETRONIC) variant, the same one for the altis manual is for 74K as quoted by Zunny. Why there is so much of difference in the price between auto and manual meters, well i cant say much about that
2. I got it from Toyota Indus Motors Karachi as its not available in the market anywhere else
3. Yes each door and trunk is indicated separately once they are opened just like in Altis

I phoned Toyota Central Motors, they told 76K for Manual one and Rs.30K for A/T SR model.

I am still wondering why there is so much price difference between the two (Auto and Manual). As far as the little variation in price is concerned i think its the margin of the dealerships. If u go to them they might give it to you in Rs 29K or even less. But the problem is of availability as its not a running spare so u must confirm that before going for it

Yep, it is not readily available, they told me to deposit the amount then they will get the meter from Indus.

Hi, I hope everyone is doing fine. I am looking for a 2011-12 Toyota Altis speedometer for my 2012 Gli Auto. Did import a Toyota Auris speedometer from Ebay (Pics Attached) but it wasnt a bolt on fit and req some minor adjustments in the meter cover which i was not willing to do. I plan to install CRUISE CONTROL in car at later stage as i have already got the steering wheel with cruise/audio and BT controls but need the speedometer at priority. I sincerely hope someone at PW will help me out. Thanks

and i would like to ask, if we change the cluster, does it change the milage in the odometer or not? right now mine is 37980.

Mileage is stored in the cluster. U will have to get the mileage according to ur car's original mileage. These clusters are rare. Try European countries which have corolla n auris. It's a grip to grip fit for the Altis

i couldnt find this type of cluster in my country.. i agree, this cluster is very rare..
one more question zunny (sorry if i bother you ;p), how do i know if my indonesian type altis could use this kind of cluster? what should i check in my altis (such as the series of the ecu, type of engine, chassis type and so on) to match this cluster?

A similar meter can be arranged but how to send it to you as courier companies don't allow car parts to be shipped out of Pakistan unless they are made in Pakistan. Checked from DHL.

bro there's a problem with this meter as uxair had told us. it will work with the XLI n GLI variant but would give a warning buzzer ever time u switch it off. however it works perfectly with the Altis. though ALTIS n GLI auto have same ECUs n Engines but still it would give off a buzzer sound in the GLI auto. what i suspect is that it reqs an additional communication line from ECU to meter or the communication line needs to be re routed to another port. at this point if someone can get hold of the workshop manuals of the XLI n Altis and give out the pinouts we just might be able to re route a wire or two to get this working perfectly
