Xli 2012 missing at 1.2k to 2k RPM

it seems leaking or clogged fuel injectors are culprit.

In both the cases there must have missing @ other RPM's as well. But it was specific to 1.2 to 2 and that too while running the car not at idle.

Car is under observation after having done loads of things and if still not ok I will call the warranty guys from Toyota the last option

No check engine light, if this is due to injector there will be missing on idle as well and even on other RPM's as well

No Its not necessary. I had problem with my accord at 4k rpm. Went away when i changed the fuel Injector.

Are you sure about your coils and Idle control Valve?

this car is sort of easy to diagnose as VVT-I?s OBD kit provides access to many variables on computer so kind of easy to catch the problem. Problem is RPM might be related to throttle body, so cleaning may help. Secondly, it has a variable timing valve and variable timing valve filter. Manual say?s any?s if you experience any issues related to timings with vvt-I then this filter be cleaned. Rest its easy to dig into the issue.

I havent read the whole thread so dont know if ur issue is solved or not. But let me add here that people have had some issues with liqui moly oils in past. A friend used it in his city idsi and reported extreme missing issues and increased fuel consumption.

Toyota guys said coils are fine, but where does idle control valve is ? I will check that. May be that's an injector but issue at the moment is very much subsided but I feel while driving that car is not comfortable 100%

Throttle body got serviced, I will check that filter thingy of vvti as well. I got it checked from scanner but everything was fine as per Toyota mechanic.

He did checked MAP and Air filter sensor as well, but both were fine

That's some thing new for me, I will try to change the oil but if that is due to oil it must be at all RPM and even at idle.

But issue was only at some specific RPM's and now issue is much subsided as I was feeling clear jerks at those specific RPM's but now I only felt car is not comfortable at these RPM's.

What I changed last was plugs to the factory specific ones but were from after market not from Toyota. But I remember after changing plugs issue remained there.

But after that I parked my car for 2 days and then drove it from lahore to Pindi and driving it daily from rwp to islo for office but feeling that my car is trying to say something on those RPM's

Lakin there are no clear missing signs that were in the form of jhatka's at 1.2 to 2 RPM during driving only

Yes problem sorted. It was one of the coils rubber nipple that was short.
