Maybe the colour you are talking about is olive green as that colour is having resemblance with the colour of military vehicles.

I am going to buy XLI in jan 2011.

they will not offer gun metallic or any other color except black and white in 2011.. they are just clearing their old stock by offering new colors to attract buyers and thats it!

Yes, this is only to attract buyers.

But if you want to buy an xli this is the best time. Limited coloured xli,s are avalible.

If you want a colour other than black or white why not buy now.
I think in December Flexen Mica colour will also be launched.

Did your friend have to go through the entire booking and wait time period process or was this a relatively quick delivery? I am asking this because you mentioned something about getting instant delivery before Eid.

Anyways, this is a good color for XLi. So, Gun Metallic and Flaxen Mica are the only two extra colors available this December? No Red or Silver like last December?

In Jan 2011, Toyota Indus would go back to its uber-greedy roots and will only offer White and Black colors in XLi. You have to carefully analyze whether you want more color choices by buying now or you want to wait and have a bit of a higher resale value for a "2011 model" and/or pride in knowing that you got the latest model, which for all practical reasons has been 100% the same since late 2008.

Na choro yara. Do not spread rumours please. What Army has to do with gun metallic colour? All their staff cars are still black, airforce light or dark blue and navy white. All army trucks, jeeps etc are or dark green color.

No, no booking. He just maid the payorder for the showroom and they promised him delivery the next day.

Till now ive only heard about these 3 colours.........
I just bought a Gli a month back. If I had known I would have waited and bought an Xli...........lower cost, and a little cheaper to insure.

Anyone know how much the wooden garnish would cost? The orignal one.

Thanks for the reply. I went and visited a local Toyota dealership, all excited to book me a nice "colored" XLi. The bas†ards there told me that Toyota Indus is not taking any more orders for colored cars. I guess the promotion just ended for us.

Anyways, they advised me if I want choice for a better color I should go for a GLi. I told them to gtf lost because I'd pick a 1.8 iVtec Civic over a GLi any day of the week for a bit more money. The salesman also advised us that "investors" will be selling colored XLi's soon and they'll be charging 25-30k Rs as "dividend" on their "investments". I say ƒuçk these investors and ƒuçk Indus.

In short, Toyota Indus lost a customer today with their shoddy marketing strategies. I'll import myself a JDM car.

About the wooden paneling, I was under the impression that it's just a sticker of some sort. Isn't Rs. 15,000 a bit too much for a sticker? Or is it plastic molded and colored to look like wooden accents?
