Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 – 5th Round
Nadir Magsi proves a point
After a having a miserable beginning to the start of this years Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 season in terms of posting the “FTD” commonly known as FASTEST TIME OF DAY. Mr. Nadir Magsi proved it, that all along it was the slick racing tires making the difference between him and the other new comers Mr. Mukesh Chawla and Mr. Imam Ali Shah who had been wining the earlier rounds of this years Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010.
Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 – Round 05 was held on the 06th November 2010 at the Fountain Parking Lot, Clifton, Karachi. This race was participated by 33 drivers. This was the second last round of this years championship so competition in every category was to see who would be the Xtreme Autocross Champion in their respective category. In this championship there are seven categories running 3 stock categories and 4 prepared categories. These categories are based on the international autocross racing formats. Mr. Nadir Magsi posted a time of 47.16 seconds driving his Mitsubishi Evolution 8 special model in terms of modifications with his new racing slick tyres thrashed the earlier winners of this years Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 season Mr. Imam Ali Shah and Mr. Mukesh Chawla who had been dominated the previous four rounds of this years Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 season.
Every participant was given six runs on the track which was designed by Mr. Asad Khuhro who is also the Race Director of Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010. From the first run of the autocross the battle intense in every category starting from stock category in the C-Stock category Mr. Nauman Saranjam and Mr. Saleem Tabani were fighting for the top spot in the championship, in the end Mr. Nauman Saranjam driving a blinder of a run posted a time of 54.97 seconds, which was more than enough for Mr. Saleem Tabani whose best run was 55.78 seconds. In the B-Stock category Mr. Mansoor Halim won the category very convincingly with his arch rival Mr. Irfan Mirza not been able to participate because of the car problem. In the prepared category the D-Prepared Category saw the usual fight between the two mini giants Mazda AZ1 & Honda Beat driven by Mr. Muhammad Jaffer Magsi and Mr. Ghazanfar Agha. Mr. Ghazanfar Agha has been dominating this category from the beginning of this years Xtreme Autocross Championship winning again with a time of 55.49 seconds. C-Prepared category has been posting the “FTD” – Fastest Time of the Day, throughout this years Xtreme Autocross Championship was expected to do it again with Mr. Mukesh Chawla and Mr. Imam Ali Shah fighting for the championship between each other. Mr. Imam Ali Shah posted a time of 50.53 seconds to beat Mr. Mukesh Chawla who in a thriller of a competition. Mr. Shamyl Khuhro who has been the closest competitor to Mr. Nadir Magsi in the B-Prepared category was winning till the 5th run of Mr. Nadir Magsi edging out Mr. Shamyl Khuhro. This seasons A-Prepared category had become the throne to Mr. Amir Ali Shah who had won the last 4 consecutive races brought a shocking defeat by his own cousin Mr. Zaheer Hussain Shah driving a Mercedes Benz C-200 prepared posting a time of 53.82 seconds which was good more than good enough to beat Mr. Amir Ali Shah also driving Mercedes Benz C-200 prepared.
The price distribution ceremony was held right after the runs were finished. Following were the winners in their respective categories and their timings.

C - Stock

2nd – Saleem Tabani – 55.78 seconds
3rd – Ali Nadeem – 55.94 seconds
A - Prepared
1st – Zaheer Hussain Shah – 53.82 seconds
2nd – Amir Ali Shah – 54.08 seconds
3rd – Kashif Sattar – 55.30 seconds
B - Prepared
1st – Nadir Magsi – 47.16 seconds
2nd – Shamyl Khuhro – 47.65 seconds
3rd – Khawaja Ahad – 52.42 seconds
C - Prepared
1st – Imam Ali Shah – 50.53 seconds
2nd – Mukesh Chawla – 51.16 seconds

This Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 is based on points system to determine the best drivers in their respective categories. The Final Round of this years Xtreme Autocross Championship 2010 is scheduled for the 4th of December 2010.
