Yes boss ... I changed liquimoly 10w40 synthetic and the performance has increased and engine sound has improved as well. Got it in 800 rupees over here in Fsd, have just now started the bike after 4 days or so, it was good at cold start. Overall satisfied with this oil, I haven't so far achieved top speed due to 1) traffic conditions 2) no tuning since purchase of bike I.e. for approx 2,000 KMs. I guess, tuning also plays some role in achieving top speed but since I am having a good fuel average, not much interested in changing its default carb settings. I so far plan to stick with liquimoly, maybe even in summers, because I don't usually ride more than 20 KMs in a single trip. Plus the change interval is somewhere recommended for liquimoly is 2,000 KMs so I don't think that's coming anywhere in near future. But, maybe i'll switch to liquimoly's 20w50 mineral oil in summers if I'll have to frequently ride the bike.

One more thing I have noticed with YBR riders over here in Fsd, that when they are travelling, usually brake light is on at the rear due to improper foot position on brake pedal. I doubt if they will burn out the brake lights in near future and a bashing regarding the quality of Yamaha parts will start. Plus one should avoid this habit for safety reasons as well. So dear friends, you people also keep this thing in mind as I have seen the brake lights and indicators of Yamaha bikes are of top quality and their visibility even in bright sunny days is also commendable

No tuning since 2000 kms? Aren't you following the manual?

As you may have read my earlier posts, I used Shell AX3 after Yamalube the engine noise reduced a bit and so is the pick of the bike. Then I switched to KIXX 4T ultra semi synthetic and it's currently running good.

Sadly I am not, but somebody just told me that don't get your bike's carb settings disturbed if it is not giving u problems. Top speed is the last thing on my agenda, ride comfort first and then comes economy. But, I am planning to get it tuned after some more KMs. I also doubt if my warranty is intact but that cover would have been useless in any case. You suggest, if it really is important to get it tuned periodically even when you are not facing any problems? Because the seller from whom I bought my bike was a 2S (sales and parts only) suggested me that this regular tuning schedule is in real world not required. Company has merely put it in the books to please authorized mechanics for their regular bread and butter coz it is the only way they could keep them connected to Yamaha. He also said that he has also keeping his YBZ bike un-tuned and at default settings and just regularly inspect battery fluid level, regularly cleans the air filter, changes oil at regular intervals. But now I am getting confused

They don't touch the carburetor settings, only tappets adjustment is done on 1000 kms. On second tuning, only plug and air filter was cleaned and I changed the oil myself. I'm not very experienced though but I'm following the manual strictly.

ZIC M7 10w-40 grey colour bottle is a good oil too. You can try this oil too in winters.

Can anybody here can tell about Air Filter of Yamaha, is it easy to open like a car? or we need to open every thing inside side covers , by the way I have seen air filter of Honda 70 and its quite difficult to open and clean, please show some pic here ?

I wanna share very important thing about air Filter of YBZ
I've observed that fuel over-consumption of YBZ is based on air filter blockage
i clean air filter after every 300km driver, nd i am getting 53+ km mileage per liter.
nd my frnd who is careless about this; is getting 35 to 38km / Ltr only. Even we have same bikes nd same models, with same purchase date.

So its my suggestion; kindly clean YBZ air filter after every 300km with strong air pressure; nd u will get excellent mileage;
nd most important idler screw should be on factory setting about 2.25 to 2.50 turns

Or the RPM should be atleast 1100.

Dear All Please let me know if any one has any idea ore suggestion for installing Disk Brakes and Alloy Rims in YBZ.

The cost of installing alloy rims and disc brake in YBZ is 18,000 rupees. I got this price quote from Yamaha dealership Karachi. I wonder if I can only install disc brake on existing spoke wheel, because to me the alloys will not look good on this bike because of not so sportier looks.

My main purpose is improving the stopping power of the bike. some one told me that in ybz disk breackes are not possible with out alloy rims.
Any how if this is possible with out changing the rims then its good....
But my Question is still there...

I am not sure about the installation of disc on existing spoke wheel but it's certainly doable with the alloy rims. You can visit the Yamaha dealership for further information. I am also willing to install disc brake in my bike and will be visiting the dealership this weekend.
