So i went for overhaul of engine, costed Rs 6450 including new backlight, 2 indicator rubber and covers, all locks replaced and mobil oil
Now its break-in periodHe suggested for 1st 500km, keep it under 50 and then get it tuned/oil replaced
What was replaced while rebuilt?
sealsring piston kitvalve set and sealmobile oilchain kit (internal)clutch plate2 other things cant remember name
and baqi chota mota saman
Be easy on clutch for 50-60 clutchs go on open road and gently touch 50km/h and deaccelerate to 10km/h (without pressing clutch) do it 3-4 for best break in
for 50-60 clutches? didnt get that @saboor73this method of 50-10 looks fine, I ll try out tomorrow InshaAllah
That mechanic was saying that the reason of your clutch plates going bad is you treat it like other bikes, yamaha clutch is very soft in yd100 engine, you rarely need to use it.
In mechanic language "clutch per halka haat rakho" (be patients ride easy) About mechanic he is idiot I use to abuse heck out of my bike still my clutch lasted 45k km the usually point of clutch failure in pak is no break in of clutch BTW what engine oil you poured?
dyl lube, my city is small and availability is the issue, caltex havoline was available in bigger packing and liquimoly wasnt even availablepso was 20w50 as well. not generator 15w-40
one thing the mechanic said, you can put load (2-3 people) in break in period, is it right
No he is wrong
Use zic M5 20W40 semi synthetic engine oil it is the best in all oils & price is only 270pkr for 700ml
many pakwheelers said zic make bike engine heatup and loose power
followed this technique for 4 timesnow bike just need a signal and it go like rocket.
Good to hear that you are enjoying your bike
