i could be wrong in case of kanal walay plots. i don't know much about property (in fact idhar udhar sey awaz parr gai). sorry for acting like a property dealer people!

the lowest quality you'll see in market are for 200 but they break easily . the iron thing you mentioned. yes it malfunctioned in mine too but got it fixed from 3s in 300 rupees. normally it gets disconnected when much force is applied so it bends

Open the door by yourself , mark the iron string and check on both ends that where is the iron string blocked/not moving , spray wd-40 or brake oil and you're good to go
