I dont think shifting 10-30 is a good idea
You are only getting rings changed stick to 20-50 its not a synthetic oil
10-30 is for new engines and efi ones

After changing rings and some other eenie miney work done ,10-40w wont harm i guess

10w-40 viscosity is the OEM oil for cultus

Yes its OEM but for new engine
After driven here with cngs petrols engine life drains slowly my opinion for a 2006 carby engine is 20- 50

Brothers there is a situation now,

My car had a tour to Islamabad and covered around 900km

Before the trip the car was having a "tik tik" sound from engine
But after the trip that sound is no more to be heard
Is it a good sign? What could have happened?

Its seems the sound of tapet well it doesnt harm but its annoying it will be solved from an engineering shop (kharadiya) ....

because i am noticing fumes from if i open the engine oil cover on the engine , plus when i bought the car the mechanic told me the car's engine is 80-85% .
i am very much inclined to get the car's work done but the problem is that car is performing exceptionally well after the trip , before that i saw black carbon coming out of silencer which was due to the dirty carburettor

Those fumes are normal, but check pcv valve, probably carbon was formed because of bad pcv

First suspect should be air in cooling system, then check if gasket is diying, then finally comes engine block change...

there is a pipe that goes to airfilter from manifold and valve cover, remove it and check for a white cream.

bubbles don't look very bad. monitor the water level. Go for a compression test

you mean the rubber pipe that connects pcv valve to the intake manifold

yes that pipe. incase of bad gasket, it is usually full of white paste.

People, when I got the water body replaced i starting observing tik tik from day one. the mech at 3s said go for a tuneup (although i had it 3500 kms before) . I did that after which it got better. now 2 days back i went to Islamabad through highways with speed maximum at 95, i came back and at the driveway I started hearing it again. what could be the issue? i mean tappets adjustment nai hwi sai tarha.?
