Two saches of the tradition shampoo, in a bucket. a long handle brush,. preasoaked the arches with water to remove the mud, then a rub down with the shampoo. and rinsed. However a little dish wash liquid with the shampoo solution will help remove grease and dirt easily.

i didn't cut them off so I could reuse them each time I took the caps off to clean wheel. But they do look odd so, I'll cut them off tomorrow

Yes they can be opened with a needle and reused.

Which products are you using to clean your car?

Brother i mostly use traditional stuff to wash the car which includes shampoo (i had an expired shampoo for hair so using that for car)
Two brushes, one soft and and a bit hard
Harder one for cleaning outer walls kf the tires while soft one for the undercarriage and wheel arches
After that i'm just left with scratch out( which i uses rarely) and cosmic , while black shine restorer will be used in future for tires and trims
