Whats the reason that majority of the dealers push you to get 195 instead of 185 whenever you buy any tyre...When I went to get tyres for my CITY he said 185 nahin hai aur na hi 195/60 available hai instead and majboori ke tehet I had to get 195/65R15 which is always readily available everywhere but I didn't wanted 195/65 reason is offcourse this that it is large for the CITY!!!

I got ADVAN DB...Can you tell me grip wise how good this tyre is?

They are good tyres. They are "in" now-a-days as a trend just like Yokohama dB were couple of years ago.

C Drive and A drive both offer the best road grip and less aquaplaning on motorways, I am a regular traveller and have used almost all brands on motorways, I always feel confident on C drive, Db dna is a good tire too but has poor cornering ability and gets punctured very very easily due to extra soft tread, C drive has a tough tread and a soft sidewall, You will expereince a completely changed tire (C drive) within a month as it settles and becomes more softer. Tire has a mimimum shelf life of 3-4 years provided it is kept in a dry environment and stored properly. There is nothing to worry about.

Mystery is offcourse solved but you didn't tell me that why dealers don't have 185 size and why is 195 always available and why they push you to get 195!!!

But seriously the price is so much...I mean Rs.13,900 for s a single piece...What actually is so special in this tyre...I am just surprised!!!

For 13000 you can get stock euro star tyres of city (Brand new) lol

Sir please mere aakhri sawal ka bhi jawab de dein...Aapka bohat shukriya aapne meri knowledge mein izafa kiya hai...Main aapka bohat thankful hoon...Sirf itna bata dein ke jab bhi koi tyre lene jaao specially talking about Advan DB main do shops par gaya ek Islamabad mein aur ek Pindi mein dono pe jab Advan DB ke liye poocha to unhon ne kaha 195/65R15 hi available hai aur 195/60R15 aur 185/65R15 market mein short hain ye in dono shops ke maalikon ka kehna tha!!!

Ab aap bas itna bata dijiye ye kyun aise hota hai I mean agar ek bande ko 185/65R15 ya 195/60R15 chahiye CITY ke liye to ye size hona chahiye na shopkeepers ke paas ab ye kya chawali hai meri samajh mein nahin aata ke 195/65 available hai aur 195/60 aur 185/65 dono nahin hain jo CITY ke liye recommended sizes hain!!!

Jabke mujhe nahin lagta ke ye Shopkeepers zyada profit kamane ke chakar mein kehte honge ke 195/60R15 aur 185/65R15 available nahin hain kyunke in dono sizes mein unko profit kam hota hoga aur 195/65R15 kyunke ek standard size hai to is liye ye readily available hota hai har shopkeeper ke paas aur is mein unko profit bhi zyada hota hoga is liye isko rakhte hain apne paas!!!

Is there anyone else here who can sort out my problem...I am saying it for the last time...And this is only because I am going to get new tyres for my CITY at this time I have Advan DB 195/65R15 so I'll replace them with 185/65R15 and I will only do this because I believe that the pick will get better...No any other wish I have instead of increasing the pick!!!

The category of 195/65-15 tyre profile has a lot of variety in a number of brands here. Surprisingly, stockists here have very less variety of 185/65-15 profile and thus less profit margin if in case it's available. The demand too is of 195/65-15 being a common profile. Therefore the shopkeepers push you towards 195 instead of 185. So, dear friend, rest assured that it's not the profile that's superior, it's the lack of availability or variety that you are channeled towards 195/65-15. Okay, now here's the deal:

the next best optimal profile after OE recommended tyre size (175/65-15) is 185/60-15, followed by 185/65-15 and finally 195/65-15. Some options that you have right now are:

185/60-R15: Bridgestone Ecopia 200 Series (Non-Smuggled): Rs.34,000/-
185/65-R15: Dunlop SP300 Series (Non-Smuggled): Rs.28,000/-
185/65-R15: Michelin XM2 Series (Non-Smuggled): Rs.37,500/- Made in UK

If I were you I would have settled down with Bridgestone Ecopia 200. But that's just me. Your mileage may vary.

Ok Bro once again thanks now can you tell any shop in Islamabad or Rawalpindi from where I can get Advan DB 185/65R15...Need to get it for my CITY!!!

Sir, my sincerest advice: visit as many shops as you can. I have found one or two dealers who "clicked with me". Not that they might be best but liked their attitude quite frankly. You can make a mess of their brains but they will enjoy giving you options as per your budget, needs and wants. However, I don't want to make this a deliberate promotion. So just have a round of the market.

Anther option I just checked up: 185/65-R15 Continental Eco Contact 5 (European made) for 8,300/- a tyre delivered at your door step. I think you may also consider these along with Bridgestone Ecopia 200. Rest if you have your sights set on Yokohama dB Advan, it's a good tyre too.

Go to Asad Tyres in Saddar Rwp. Get your 185/65-R15 Yokohama dB Advan (manufactured in 2014) for 8000/- per tyre. And then post some pics. Good luck.

And I am driving a Honda City Aspire Prosmatec 2012 model...I still feel that this tyre Yokohama C-Drive could have been made slightly more quieter though it is quiet but still not upto the mark as these days demand for quiet and silent tyre is increasing p

I own a city 2009 AT as well. the road noise in this car is much more than the previous model which i have at home. so its the car i think.
