Yokohama DB Decibel or C-Drive?

BTW my current love affair with the C-Drive is justified by this point that I have noticed that the speed rating of C-Drive in 195/65R15 size is either 95H or 91V which clearly indicates that these tyres are superb in terms of handling at high speeds!!!

The Advan DB speed rating is 91H and for the Michelin XM2 is also 91H so I guess its handling will not be better than the C-Drive!!!

Guys tell me the truth!!!

Grip is really good. Have traveled to Naran/Kaghan, Nathia gali and surrounding areas many times. On corners and curves grip is also awesome..

Bought Corolla Gli in 2009 and changed its tyres to Yokohama C-Drive. Till now car has covered 74000 kilometers and these tyres are still good enough for city usage. These tyres were the best ones i have ever used on my cars (Except Michelin tyres which were ff on my Accord CM7). This was my experience with C-Drive.
Today i was at tyre shop for changing tyres of my Alto and he said that C-Drive are better then DB decibel. Don't know why he said that but everyone on Pakwheels are in favor of DBs.

How was ur experience with Michelin tyres.

Yes so if u haven't used it till u can't say that its better or not.
With V speed rating I don't think city has the capacity to go that far to challenge it even with H speed rating u can drive the city easily between 170 and 180 kmph.

If u really think speed index matter for city do see 195 65R15 toyo proxes c1s 91v or cf1 91h.

It was pretty much good. Those were equipped in my Accord CM7. Took the car till 240 km/h once and grip was awesome. Don't remember the exact model of those tires but they were pretty awesome. Actually my Accord was mostly use for traveling on High ways and they never gave any problem.
But Yokohama C-Drive are also very good tyres. No doubt in that. Else we should leave this on OP's personal preference.

Man this tyre is seriously driving me crazy now...LOL can't wait to get it installed in my City VTEC Aspire!!!

Used both of them together in my cars, DB is quiet but gets punctured a lot, has nothing left after 40,000KM with dozens of punctures, side wall damage is too easy to be caused, Has pathetic grip in too wet surface, too much aquaplanning
The C drive on the other hand are quirt good after 35,000km with 2 of them still with no punctures, tread is as good as new, a little bit noisy but has more grip and cornering abilities than a DB, better in wet conditions and takes potholes easily, also it has tough tread but soft side walls and that is what i like.
if you go to tire reviews uk you will find out that michelin tyres are not better in handling and comfort than yokohamas, it is just that they last long otherwise they are ok, not premium tires.

yokohama db decibles aint good...they are very noisy, plus they sound like gun shot when passing cateyes.car in use is civic 8th gen.
other car is city 2009 it has russian michlin installed,suspension of civic is alot better then city`s but city passes soundlessly over cateyes.also i observed michlin energy saver to be more grippy then yokohama db decibles.

My experience with Yokohama Db Adavan has been exceptional in stock size on the civic, great mileage ans extremely silent.

i am using c drive in my corolla
my aim was soft comfortable tyers and alhamdollila they are surving my purpose, its also giving good fuel economey
yes slightly noisy than db but not that which disturb u.
i am also having honda city and understand city suspensions quite hard so ur choice should be soft comfortable tiers

Brother Yokohama C drive is a really old pattern of 2009.

Yokohama C Drive is an average tyre for small cars like cultus, vitz etc.

Yokohama Advan DB is the expensive tyre for Civic and Corolla.

With an asymmetrical tread pattern, the tyres perform with distinction on both wet and dry surfaces!!!

Now no one can argue with me that I made the wrong choice, saying this to all Pakwheelers who kept on saying me that you have bought the crappy Dunlop SP Sport 300 like Waleed80 and RollOnBigMama, e.t.c

Why do you think Advan Db 195/65 R15 is 2000 rupees expensive than C Drive and 1000 rupees expensive than C-Drive 2.

Everything has a cost.

You can even buy Continental ContiPremium Contact 5 here in Karachi but the question is can you afford Rs. 12,800/ tyre.

Change your tyres to Michelin Energy Saver, Yoko Advan DB V551 or Michelin XM2 and ride quality noise and comfort would be much better than C drive anyday.

At least you should have bought the C-Drive 2 which is a newer softer and much improved pattern.

Have Installed C-Drive in my corolla and they have covered 70,000 Km till date and they are still good enough for city usage.
