@ all:
Thanks guys. My experience was even worse.
I attribute it more to my stupidity because even though i knew the market prices, i still got the work done thru them because i wanted quality.
I went there coz my car had an old CNG kit installed with CNG filling nozzle in the bonnet. i asked them to install it in the fuel cap.
When i asked the charges they told me it will be 2200 for the nozzle and Rs. 500 fitting charges. I was amazed since i got a price of 1500 from another CNG installation site.
Any ways, i got the nozzle installed, due to their explanation that this was a no. 1 nozzle etc etc.
Next step, i asked me the price they would charge for kit wash. They said it would be Rs. 800. I told them generally it is 300. They told me they wash the kit more rigorously.
I said, ok, go-ahead.
Within 15 minutes they were putting the kit back in the car. I asked them, is it done ? They said, "sir check kara dain", "khol kar saaf kar dee hai".
I had no reason to doubt. Now the real trouble started.
The pick of my car on CNG was so-bad that i couldnt even get it started properly.
I went there two times after this incident to get the CNG setting done, and everytime they come up with some new philospophy.
First time it was the "Tappid" issue for which they would charge Rs. 800, whereas in the market any body would do it for you in Rs. 200.
Next time i felt that ever since the nozzle was replaced, cng was leaking. I told them to fix it. They told me some "valve" is leaking and they would charge 800 for it. I just randomly asked another CNG mechanic how much they charge for it, and they told me its Rs. 400 ...
Trust me, i was livid. i told them what exactly i thought of them, and then thought perhaps i was too harsh, due to which i opened this thread.
