Wrong Engine Number/Agent's Fault

Guys I am new here and have a question about correction of engine number. I already searched some topics but none answers my question directly.
The issue is that I purchased an old auctioned army jeep and gave the file to the agent for double transfer. The agent mentioned wrong engine number on the TO form, like if correct number is 1256, he wrote 1250. Vehicle is Lahore registered. Complete file is with me where the engine number is correct but on account of agent's fault wrong number appeared on the computerized copy, I returned the whole file to agent for getting it corrected but the ET office is not correcting the number. What should I do? Please help!

50+ views and no reply. Does this mean that there is no solution to my problem or is it because no one knows the answer.

My problem is still not solved and ET office is giving no clear reply as to why engine number cannot be corrected while it is simply a clerical mistake. Nor have they asked for any bribe..am confused.

jsst write down an applicatio to dg exise or just go to the agent and make some doggy doggy of him

nothing to worry about brother. i had the same issue when i bought my car. got it registered from Karachi and when i got the book, i noticed the wrong engine number. took a data correction form, filled it and the issue was solved. nothing to worry about and no need to pay bribes to the agents there.

but if they are not correcting it, you might have to pay or should have a good reference with someone. sadly this is how things work in our country

if you can spare some time of your schedule & drag your rear to ETO office, procedure is simple fillout the form for correction in data entry and submit it with the supporting document. if you visit the eto office with some humble approach and ask counter clerk to help you cut short the process without agent & you take care of his service FEE, he will do it with a smile. Problem is WE feel SHY / SCARED to visit Govt offices and look for short cuts.

To me problem is half solved if we dare to approach the Person behind the counter and offer him his service fee without an agent.
