Civic 2013 Transfer of Ownership details

The query was raised by a fellow pakwheeler. I'm posting it here for public viewing.

Cost of transfer of ownership of a 2013 civic, Lahore registered.
WHT Rs.150,000
Token tax 2014-2015 Rs.21,200
Transfer fee Rs.6,000 (includes transfer deed, transfer fee and agent facilitation expenses )

To bhaiyo, remember to get a authority letter to drive the car from the previous owner allowing you to drive the car within the limits of Pakistan if you want to avoid transferring it to your name.

^^Yes, it has to be paid by new owner everytime.
Due to these hassles, I have booked a new civic which will almost cost same as the used one.

Wht is 1,50,000 if udont file taxes, if you do its 75,000 and can be claimed in full or deducted from final tax as its collected as advance income tax.

Another question is, this WHT applies for ISB and Punjabregistered number as well?

No it will be reduced by the rate of 10% p.a

Cars older than 5 years have no withholding tax.

am greatly thankful to u haroon bhai thanks alot for solving this transfer of ownership query .. it means everytime this car has to be sold new owner will pay 150k as WHT (non filler) that is totally unfair but naam tu lagwani he so gotta do something about it

Update : Guys sindh reg vehicles have no WHT on transfer now. Means civic 2013 sindh reg will be transferred in just 6k rs. Got myself a sindh reg civic just now and got to know about this.
