A tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) is an electronic system designed to monitor the air pressure inside the pneumatic tires on various types of vehicles. The system is also sometimes referred to as a tire-pressure indication system (TPIS). These systems report real-time tire-pressure information to the driver of the vehicle, either via a gauge, a pictogram display, or a simple low-pressure warning light.

TPMS is a set of Transmitters and Receiver. The measurements of pressure and temperature are then sent via a wireless radio-frequency transmitter (Sensor in your tires) to a receiver (monitor), which analyzes the signal and reports the results on a monitor mounted within the cabin of the vehicle.

According to survey, 99% people in Pakistan does not know what is the right pressure of your Tire and When. Right pressure of all the wheels are set by the car manufacturer and is mentioned on the leaflet and by rule of thumb, it is about 33 Psi. Also the pressure mentioned or which we maintain in tires are not correct, as we pressurize the tire when the air is hot and the present pressure is already increased, right pressure is always when the tire temperature is cold. America ? Do you mean the United States of America? Because there are two Americas', North and South. And secondly Europe is a continent. And no TPMS is not a regulation throughout Europe.

used to have 1 in my ride made by orange , its good stuff.
can u tell what type of batteries sensors are using.
as after some time battery dies and 3.7v button type lithium batteries are extremely hard to find, personally tried even in some part of china and Australia but unable to find them.

Hello, Sensors are using batteries of 3.6 V. These batteries are concealed and have a life of about 5-7 Years. After which the sensors can be replaced and your entire system remain the same.

Each sensor in the wheel has a concealed battery. According to the info available, it works for about 6 years .. when finally the battery dies. It is heartening to know that the battery is replaceable.

The display unit inside the car is charged through cigarette lighter adapter. Once charged, it works for about 7 days. Once the vehicle is parked, the display shuts down after a while. However, with any movement .. like opening the door or sitting in the driver seat is sensed by the TPMS, and the display comes ON ..

I hope they will introduce a 5-sensor system as well. We usually tend to ignore the spare wheel, as it is not used for a long time .. and it can be really heart breaking to see a flat spare tire when you need it on the road

thats true we tend to ignore the spear wheel and when time comes to actually get benefit of that facility, you fell like having an overdose of killing someone syndrome in the middle of no where.

dear poster so as u are saying that sensor battery life remain upto 06years, so are u also giving warranty of batteries upto 03-04years or only one year, because maybe due to some problem by the manufacturing side batteries die in 2years then you will replace the sensors or batteries or u just giving 01 years complete warranty. and what will be the cost of batteries or sensors only if we want to replace it when warranty not claim.

also one thing more if sensors batteries or sensor die due to some reason, we can replace the sensor of any manufacturer or we have to buy it from you (i mean is it a closed system) because the products which have closed system there spare parts are very expensive.

Hello,

Only sensor is replaced if one sensor needs the battery replace. The receiver in the car remains the same and it can learn the new sensor and the system remains the same.
