    Default Toyota Vitz Owners/Fan Club

The purpose of this post is to gauge the interest in forming a Toyota Vitz Owners Club in different cities of Pakistan. As we all know that Vitz has become quite popular in the last year or so. More and more people are buying it or are interested to know more about it. The purpose of the club would be to share technical / operational information regarding the car. As well as help fellow members with different issues regarding the everyday running of the car. There would be regular meets and get together as well as cruises. The criteria to join the club would be to own a Vitz and a desire to help and share information with fellow members. I myself am based in Karachi, so I can take the lead in taking off this project here. Other can do the similar thing in their respective cities. If there is enough interest, a formal charter / by-laws would be issued with club rules and regulation as well as its mission statement. The club would operate under the same rules & conditions as other international car clubs. To take this project off the ground, I believe 10 people in each city would be the minimum requirement. If anyone from Karachi is interested in being a part of this club, please email me at danyal1@hotmail.com. Pakwheelers from other cities can share their email addresses under this post if they are willing to take the lead for their respective cities. I hope to this see become a success someday and a model for other to follow. LETS MAKE IT HAPPEN GUYS!!!

All in all its driving fine; I have changed its oil and air filter/oil filters etc. When should its transmission oil be changed? If someone has the owner's manual can someone share snaps of its maintenance pages!

Secondly I want to change its audio player; it only tunes first few FM channels and lacks bluetooth/usb etc. Please recommend some audio receiver that has back view camera option as well. I guess its swap-able by standard 2 DIN audio receiver. Attaching its picture for reference

You have two options for the DVD players in your car.
1st. Chineese made players having all the features including Fm, dvd, Bluetooth, sd card, usb, mem card, back camera option etc... Rockmars, dellson, tracking world, premier are some of the conpanies. It will coat you around 13000rs.
2nd. A branded dvd player like Pioneer, kenwood, sony etc. Without bluetooth the cheapest dvd player having fm, usb, aux, back camera option will coat you 21000rs. With bluetooth option will cist you 26000rs.
A single din pre without screen branded one starts from 6000rs.
I will recommend you to choose branded. If money is the problem then Rockmara or tracking world are good as they have warranty on them.
About the oils, use 5w30 or 10w30 grade engine oils only. Shell helix ultra, havoline formula, toyota petron plus and Toyota genuine tin pack oil(I'm using this) are good.
When you open the bonet, you can tell by the condition of the engine body and metal pipes if the car is driven a lot. 20k driven car is just like new. Look for any rusted bolts and nuts and check the tyres. CVT oil should be inspected after 40000kms. Go to any Toyota 3s shop and ask the mechanic to check the cvt oil. He will open a small screw below the oil chamber to see the oil. Color of the oil should be red and smell should not be like rotten eggs.
Auction sheet is the best way to check the mileage. Did you get it with your car? Get your car serviced and when it is on lifter, xheck the bottom. Check the headlights. Old cars has foggy or yellowish glass having scratches on it with a white scale...
    Any more questions??

    Really disappointed from this car.

Sorry to hear that bro.. What car you were driving before? This is a cvt transmission 1000car and pick is supposed to be poor as compared to other 1000cc manual cars. It does have engine noise but nit too much. What engine oil are you using?
Is the noise there when engine is cold or all the time?
You feel the noise with ac on or even without it?
Where do you live? Next when your reserve light is on, fill 1000rs of high octane and then check the pick. How many seconds does it take to reach 100km/h?

You've been using quite powerful cars before.. But it should not take 18 seconds. That's too much! Is the Catalytic Converter removed? Have you checked the fuel filter and pump?

@LIANARULES, will check these tomorrow morning.
Previously I was also using Vitz 1.3 for local drive, but that was not so bad. My bad luck now no one Importing Vitz 1.3.
If problem remains, will definitely sell it.

Fuel supply might be the issue. Atleast, that was the issue when my santro was giving nearly the same issues. I had the filter changed and it worked like a charm, better then before.

Thank you @faisal.imtiaz.16 for detailed reply! I am using Helix Ultra and satisfied with its performance. I will try visiting Toyota guys this Saturday morning to get the transmission oil status checked; thanks for the details will keep your tips in mind.

The n cleand the chamber with carb cleaner and applied some I nd of liquid on the join to seal it again. Tge closed the chamber and let dry for 30mins. Then he pourwd the oil in a machine and inserted the small pipe in an opend screw on the side of the gear box. Turned on the machine and it took 20mins to fill 4 litre oil in it. Ran the car on the lifter at 80km/h for 10mins ti check any leakage. Then went for a test drive.
Drive is very smooth now and tried my best to feel the shifting but there was no sign of it. So far completwly satisfied.
Oil was 3600rs from Filter house.
Normal charges at Airport motors are 2800rs but as promised by the mechanic, he managed to make it 2000rs. He also conncted the OBD scanner to clear any codea and reset the ecu for free. They charge 1000rs for this.. Carb cleaner and liquid costs 700 but he already had it with him so he used it. Overall very satisfied.

After opening the oil chamber, what was the condition of Gas-kit ? was it in a condition of re-use or they removed it and only use the liquid to seal it.

While going through the above posts abt CVT oil change etc, just a question popped up in my mind whether there is a clutch plate in Toyota vitz with CVT? Does it need replacement like manual and auto transmissions?

You are completely wrong. This does not look like a synthetic oil. Max. It may be a synthetic blend.
It's not among the best oils for vitz.
