    Default Vitz Striptease

Asalamoalaikum Dear Pakwheelers! Most of us know the importance of good maintenance and detailing when done professionally or even by our ownselves. The level of satisfaction is immense. I had bought a 2010 Toyota Vitz for my family as a daily driver. In fact, calling it a workhorse would be more suitable. While I was away, the vehicle was given for detailed servicing (detailing) at PSO Gas Pump located in Bahria Phase 4 who charged 2500/- per session. Rip offs. When I came and saw the vehicle, to my horror, it was in a mess. This time around, I took matter into my own hands. So let the pictures do the talking.

^^ Good question. I'm going to try Meguairs headlight restoration system which also includes a sealant. Discussed with few local but professional headlight restorers. While most of them claimed, the yellowish tint returns over a period of time but none of them knew how to seal the whole thing off after the restoration job. Well I gave them a limited quantity of my Meguairs and they have reported back with positive feedback. So that's the plan for now.

I guess there's something to do with the treatment these JDM (Note: JDM and not the Jap made export models) headlights commensurate with their atmosphere and environment. Because when they land here, the headlights go funny. This is just my speculation and may not be relevant.

Thats def a good idea. Though add a step in between when you clean the headlights. After restoring the headlights with the drill pad and the plastic x, wash the headlights, clay them (its seems useless as the clay would be very clean till the end, but the minute dirt that will be pulled out will take the sealant process a long way) and then seal them with the given plastic sealant. Also keep in mind that the sealant does wear off like most paint sealants, so to maintain the work in pristine condition you will have to reapply the sealant at least yearly, if not every 6-8 months(just as a precaution to maintain them in as fantastic shape as they would be immediately after the restoration)

    OR

You could seal the headlights with a permanent coating like Opti Coat headlights sealant. Its expensive no doubt, one might be able to get a new headlight(maybe a little more) but 10cc goes a long way, you can coat a few pairs (2 atleast) of headlight and forget about the fact that they will turn yellow (atleast 5 years). The link is

Optimum Opti-Lens Permanent Headlight Coating, headlight coatings protectants

    Hope this helps.

I tried to find it in Metro Islamabad, CSD Rawalpindi, Green Valley Bahria Islamabad, Shaheen and other numerous stores but couldn't. So finally I asked a friend at Karachi to send me from there but it cannot be sent via courier. Now they will arrive via good old coach service. But it's expensive though (Rs.585/-). By the way it could be acquired cheaply from Sitara Market Hayatabad (Karkhano).

No load at all instead less load as they are led. They do get hot but not much and they will remain on for short duration so no worries

sir how much do you charge, Ahem
To be honest these service Stations are nothing but a splash of water on everything, when it dries the dirt is exactly where it was before. It is for people who are too BURGER to clean the tires of cars themselves and give keys to drivers to get the car washed. I have seen Phase 4 people ruining new cars by rubbing the same SAND+OIL Takki on almost all sides of cars to save them effort of getting car detailed afterwards. I must say the job you did is awesome and Cleanliness is Godliness anyways. keeping cars hygienic from inside is a must.

I am seeing this as a forced strip, enjoy
