Default How to tow another car using vitz ?

    Hey guys

So i know there is the removable plastic panel in front where we screw / twist on the bolt thing when we need to get the vitz towed

But haven't found any similar arrangement at rear end for when j want to tow another car...

Perhaps some one who has towed another car using vitz can guide me here

Also the safe towing load for vitz is 600 kg. how much does an avg car (alto, corolla or city) weigh ? Any ideas ?

    Thanks in advance

My passo (2010) has that in both front and back with Japanese hook cam with it.

Its has sam engine as vits and same cvt gear.

that hook in the bumper is not for towing on the road, that hook is used to pull a dead car onto a trailer or workshop and also used to tie down the car on a carrier.

    Okkk cool

    Didn't know that.

So unusual that they didn't put towing system at vits back side.

automatic transmissions usually come with initial high gear ratio (2:1),resulting,

    less torque
    poor hill climbing capability
    poor towing capability
4L / Low gear in jeeps is provided to cater these issues

where as in case of manual transmissions initial (1st gear) gear ratio is around (4:1),
which gives almost double torque when required in 1st gear as compared to same engine coupled with auto transmission...

weight of corolla is around 1000 kg,
smaller cars weight vary from 800 kg to 1000 kg

I dont know where you are quoting those ratios from - 1:2 = higher than overdrive.

even plain jane automatics in your FWD corolla have a 2.847:1 first gear ratio - prety good, my 2.4 camry has a 3.98:1 first gear ratio - very good.

The problem is that the cooling system is not built to cooldown extra load on the transmission and neither is the chassis of the car built to take additional outside load.
