Bro i also faced the same prob in my new civic when i refueled for 500,the reserve sign does not go this happened many times and one time also had a fight with the petrol pump guy over it,but the owner of the pump was my dads close friend so they refueled 500 again then the sign was gone.

When i refuel for 1k or more then its normal!
Cant understand whts going on???

Your fuel tank has an arm, a little ball and some sensors and wires.

When you have low fuel and refill for 500- that's like 4.80 litres. Out of 50 litres, only 6-7 liters is inside.

It takes a bit of time for that arm and ball to register that.

Easy.

Today in the morning while going to work , I noticed low fuel indication in the I mid and there were 2 dots remaining in the fuel indication bar ,
So I went to pump and got fuel for 1k only after sometime I noticed even the last dot remaining also disappeared and the indication (i) started showing in the left fuel avg bar , in the i mid display too there was indication of low fuel in orange light and no dots in the fuel bar car is showing range of 0 km however average increased to 9.6km/L from 9.2
Continuously it's giving me low fuel indication even got the fuel for 500 again and didnt drive much just around 15 to 20 kms but still it's there
Before this always used to get full tank and used till the end only today this happened that I got fuel for just 1500 but I don't think that's the reason for this
Called Honda 3s they asked me to get the tank full and it will go away and if it stays there they said get the car checked from our workshop !
Confused any suggestions please ?

My past experience of 8th gen
Countless times drove it on really low fuel with only 1 dot and used to get fuel of 500 daily which is nothing still it never gave me any such problem whenever I used to get fuel for even 2k the low indication used to go away
No other car gave any such problem ever
what should I do
Let's see if it disappears after getting tank full

it will disappear afer getting the tank full .. never happened in Civic but I have experienced the same situation in Altis ..No biggie ...

No need to worry. New City and new Civic both have this problem.
These both cars at least require 1500 - 2k worth fuel to raise their fuel guage(Tried and tested many times).
If you reset the odo meter then fuel gauge will rise. However 8th gen has no such problem.

Of course sonax is better in that case, never use any hair shampoo on your car.

Would anybody be kind enough to share pictures of original utility package i.e. door visors, floor mats and trunk tray. I think I have been ripped off by the dealership with after market accessories in the name of utility package and want to confirm whether my utility package is original.

I would be extremely grateful for an earliest response.

this is the OEM utility pack on my civic bought in February 2014. They do change the design of the wind visors and the floor mats a bit from time to time but you should get an idea. sorry for the poor pics.

I just found out something very shocking!

i went to get my grandfathers 7th gen civic tuned from my local honda dealership and there i saw atleast 3 9th gen civics parked with their engines ruined. The mechanics told me that the "air box" which is located at the level of the headlights of the 7th gen is located at the level of the fog lights in the 9th gen.

The mechanics very strictly asked me NOT to drive in flooded areas

apparently the water enters the "air box" and then goes into the main engine block ruining the con rods and pistons. the mechanics have to replace it all

I know some cars in usa have air intake thats very close to the front wheel fender. Driving those in water is a sure way to kill the engine. Scotty kilmer posted a video of a car that did exactly that last year (on his youtube channel), ill post a link in a bit as well.
