Well Peshawar ( and KP in general ) has always been the leader as far as the car "scene" has been concerned not just now, but for more than 75 years or so.
Peshawar has always been a great demonstrator of superb taste in cars, there were cars like Lancia, Delage, Buick, Lincoln, Riley, Citreon, Cadiallac, Studebaker, Alfa Romeo, Jaguar, Bentley, and of course Mercedes Benz.
I am not mentioning the Americans like Chevrolet, Dodge and Ford which were numerous in numbers.
In 1953 there used to be two brand new Bentley's parked in the Peshawar Club, they were owned by Major Scott, whose family owned the Johnnie Walker whisky business! and one of the pair was a "R" Continental.
The other Bentley was bought by Mir Afzal Khan of Mardan, who later on also had a Jaguar 3.8 S type in 1964 or so, as well as an Alfa Romeo.
And these were not the first Bentleys around, Col Mir Haider of Nowshera had a 4 1/2 litre Bentley in 1935.
Nasrullah Khattak of Manki had also a Jaguar Mk II as well as a very rare Fiat 2300S
The Lincoln Continental V 12 Convertible now owned by Mohsin of the VCCCP was owned by Mir Abdul Rahim Khan of Mardan.
The first 1955 220S Mercedes was owned by Mian Khadim Shah. The Hoti nawabs had a complete fleet of great american cars.
I also remember Gen Habib Ullah had a coupe Chevy around 1964 or so. And I saw my first Austin Mini in Peshawar in 1964, in what was then Company Bagh
