Since this is a frequently asked queiry regarding Civic 1.8, thats why decided to make a seperate topic. This topic is intended to help several PW users to make their decisions.
Surveyed different shops, Options available in 15" were
Michellin Energy
Pirilli P6000
Yokohama dB Decible
Yokohama A Drive
Yokohama Aspec A300
Yokohama ES100
Falken ZiEX 912
Nitto, Toyo etc
Was confused between Michellin, Yoko and Falken. After lot of research work ended up buying the Falken's in 205/65 R15.
Based my decision on
1) Value for money
2) Awsome thread design
3) Internet Reviews.
Paid 20000 extra for 5 Tires and gave Eurostars away. So far, the tires are performing EXCELLENT. I donnot regret preferring them over dBs which used in my previous 2007 Civic 1.8.
Pros over Yokohama BNA dB Decible [ES501]
1) Out standing Dry and Wet grip. Tested them on clear patches of M2.
2) Braking has improved ALOT.
3) Reduced tyre spin
Cons over Yokohama BNA dB Decible [ES501]
1) A bit more noisy
2) Thread design is less sporty
3) Comfort level of Yoko db was a bit more.
Still, i would suggest Civic 1.8 owners to consider Falken ZiEX 912 while looking for new tires.
Tested by hondafanatic and SamiAlvi on my car aswell
