Hi,
Own an Wagon R, PK. VXL.
Tires are the crap company fitted ones.
the problem is, as every wagon R owners knows is sharp turning and skidding brakes due to the ultra thin and poor 145 R13 tires. i have read so many threads that 165 is the recommended tire size, but i have seen that they protrude out of the body/ fender a lot, making the already average shape of wagon R look like a Sitting frog..
the better solution is 155 R13, which would improve brakes, wont protude out of body and should have much better road grip (MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR), but again, as far as i searched a bit, only GT radial is commonly available in that size , 155 is less common in market in big brands (dont know why), and although my previous experience with GT radial in honda City has been good, i want to invest a 1 time expense with Bridgestone or pirelli or Dunlops (though, many fake dunlops i hear in market).
need advice for a good looking solution (no pregnant looking tires out of body) with tires on R13 size for IMPROVED ROAD GRIP), or if it is actually better to go for R14 without risking Suspension issues, speed/ acceleration of car, and too much fuel compromise?
PS: i live in lahore, previously i had a very long route of 100km daily travel at high speed, on bad roads, but now its only lahore based on main clean roads, with once a month long distance travel to gujranwala or maximum ISB (2-3 times a years max).
need advice for wagon R specific
1 - Preferable tires which wont stick out much,
2 - Better road grip with no shaking in sharp turns on low or high speed (comon with Wagon R)
3 - R13 or R14? in case of R14, what would be pros and cons for Wagon R, and which tires for R14 then?
Thanks in advance to anyone for helping out and explaining in detail..
