Cool My New "Yamaha Junoon" YD100

    Hello Everyone,
Though initially looking at "CG125/YB100" as my bike upgrade from CD70, I ended up getting "Yamaha Junoon" .
I am really enjoying this bike...
Much better acceleration than CD70, No vibrations and damn it's so quiet (just what i wanted). Liking the new Fuel gauge.

Problems Faced in 10K Km usage of Junoon

-Bike's side single stand got broken during the running period, got it welded and its going good.
-Electrifier malfunctioned, and resulted in front bulb, rear bulb and speedometer bulbs all fused. Got the electrifier and all the bulbs replaced and it never bothered me again.
-Handle lock malfunctioned, had to get it changed.
-Brake shoes that came with bike weren't good. Got them changed at 3000Km and still using them till 10000Km
-Recently i have noticed vibratory noise at medium RPM, got it checked but DYL mechanics aren't able to find the source.
-Bike leaks engine oil since 5000Km, and DYL mechanics are also confused where is this coming from.
That's about it. No battery or cable problems.

Well Junoon doesn't suit ZIC either....
I thought may be being 10W40 , it will be more suitable for upcoming winter, and being synthetic, it will have prolonged draining intervals, but with all these side effects i wouldn't use it even in winter. So just gonna stick to 20W50 mineral oil with 1000Km draining interval.

That's great bro.... I can touch 100 at max (everything stock). A custom exhaust will surely give a little more output.
By the way, you never let us hear your exhaust sound. Plz upload sample....

ZIC is fully synthetic according to the specs, while most other traditional oils are minerals.

never use tap water and never let mecdhanics use tap water.. buy distilled water from petrol pump and pray its distilled..

also never rest ur batter at the place where u posted pics at... because just one small drop of battery acid/water from battery on crankcase will permenantly destroy its beauty.. it will be very bad and those marks cannot be removed..

apply some grease/engine oil at the place where battery will sit.. just oil that surface so that battery gases wont eat that surface.. and make sure the pipe is attached to battery adn not bent...

most un-experienced USTAAD log don't re-install battery drain pipe
which is very important as asjdsm said some drops of battery water
can ruin engine crankcase colour & beauty so one should always ask from USTAAD log
    did you install battery pipe?

i dont think bigger nad power full generator is available..

also me not sure about yd100 generator specs.. but u can install a bigger battery and hook ur head bulb directly to battery ... but its ghetto setup and needs some testing ..

however even if u install 8AH battery then u would hardly be able to run ur bulb for 2.5 hours.. after 100% full charge..

that's the thing, i don't want a limited time setup. And don't want to modify the original generator as well. All i wanna know is how many volts and amperes it generates at 2k/5k/8k rpms or something like that, but can't seem to find this info anywhere. I mean if generates 3~4 amperes at medium rpms then one can put delux or gs150 electrifier and install a 12v 35/35w bulb???

y not check it ? using amp meter ?
check how much current is being pumped into battery while head light is off .. then check how much curent is pumped into head light bulb while its on . then again check the current pumped to battery while head light is on... and sum the last two results..

there is a wire going to battery u can easily insert mm in series.. in that place ..

also remove one wire from the head lamp bulb assembly .. i think that doesnt needs wire cutting can be done simple way just unplug anyone wire and measure current ..

measure ac current to head lamp .. and dc current to battery .. take care else u may blow mm

in pindi, where can one find good 12v 35/35w bulb???
12v 25/25w is available desi and "stanley" both, but 35/35w branded one seems hard to find, all they have is desi one which cost 30 rupee

desi are ok but they dont last as long as stanly .. light output may be less then stanly but not major diff.. as far as 25 watt one is considered as i have experimented.. with ..

u can get good parts at warriskhan/committe chowk/circular road..
mohamdi /moon/ makka autos/ and shehzad are all goo .. but i prefer mohamdi more then any other .. also there are many other shops...

try to find branded if not get any other one..

u may want the holder if thats the issue .. and if the holder can fit in ur lamp assembly..

    yd100 generator generates 125 watts and 14v at 5000
1.5A charging at 3000 rpm and lighting voltage are 12v at 3000 rpm and 14.5v at 8000 rpm
