It is a promotion.... As no body registers bike in these days ( 2016 ki plate lagwayen ge ) kinda mindset. Also, there was one showroom selling YBR for 125k and YBR G for 130k I think, till 10th of January...

One of my childhood friend who is now in Yamaha procurement department told me that YBR-Z (Conventional version) will be available in the start of 2017.

He told me that initially company had a plan to launch this version in the last quarter of 2017, the reason is the downfall in sales of YBR and YBR-G.

He also told me that company was not expecting this early low sales (as per their expectations) so they are now forced to launch the simple version early to regain sales. I simply asked why not now so he told me that we are doing localization nowadays for Z version. I am still not sure why they need a full year to do localization.

Secondly I asked why the company didn't launch the simple version first. He told me that they had an agreement with the government like if company brings something new which is not really available locally so the company will get extra benefits from the government side. In short if they launch simple version first the company was not able to enjoy duties off.

Yamaha is launching MT25 fully imported. And it'll be priced close to 6.6lakh before MARCH 2016. And YAMAHA FZ15 to be made locally and in the end (Oct 16)... Priced from 180k to 220k

Before that, YBR Z was expected to be launched in January 2016

If that is true, people spreading false rumors here and on various FB groups about Yamaha 150cc and 250cc variants coming soon should stop spreading lies.

He also told me that company was not expecting this early low sales (as per their expectations) so they are now forced to launch the simple version early to regain sales.
Adding two plastic pieces on either side of the tank does not make the bike's worth 130K+. They mispriced their offerings (YBR125, YBR125G) resulting in low sales. Further, due to the technical issues, after sales support issues faced by many and lack of sufficient number of fully trained, qualified and competent mechanics and general dissatisfaction due to CG125 vs YBR125 comparisons, low sales after initial surge are not very surprising.

Before you question the pricing of YAMAHA YBR, may I ask you if HONDA DELUXE is priced REASONABLE?

Plz compare what DELUXE has to offer with what YBR is offering with the price difference ratio. Thank You

If they are considering sale low then they expected "too much" in city like Karachi where we don't see deluxe properly which was launched in 2006 I am seeing ybr on daily basis

    Not only Karachi but overall.

There was initial surge but now things are settling down and they are feeling low sales.

Can you please ask about FZ16? When they'll launch it and price.

I asked the following queries and he said there are CBUs (250cc but he was little unsure on the CC thing) in limited numbers. But these CBUs are not for normal sales and they are being imported on the special orders for Peshawar Police.

These CBUs (for now) will not be available as Local sales.

*The reason he has limited information is that he is not in the same department which is currently dealing in CBUs.

    Source? Booking started where?

If true, it will be interesting to see how Suzuki reacts with its own CBU units.
